EVGA SuperNova 1000 P2 upgrade to a SuperNova 1000 P6... Same cable compatibility?

Hello folks,
 
I ordered up a new EVGA SuperNova 1000 P6 (220-P6-1000-X1) to replace my 8 year old SuperNova 1000 P2 (220-P2-1000-XR) which is getting a bit on the old side for my newest rig.
 
I'd like to reuse my sleeved cables which came with my old P2 which are still fine and routed well. I know this is typically a bad idea with a new PSU however, I figured if the pinouts are identical it shouldn't be an issue.
 
Will this new SuperNova 1000 P6 work safely with the old cables? I can't find a pinout graph for these newest P6 power supplies. I'll give tech support a call when I can on Monday to double check.
 
What do you folks think? Bad idea?

    According to cablemod the pinouts match, and since a G2 to G6 i saw confirmed before to match logic also reinforces this.
    I also have a P6 personally, but since i used the cables that it came with i can't say from my end.
