I just upgraded my home server and decided to give this PSU a shot. I'm running an AMD 5600x, an nvidia p2000, 1 nvme ssd and 4 hdds. pcpartpicker has my estimated wattage at 349w. I'm running ubuntu server 20.04 and have no errors or shutdown messages in logs, it just randomly dies even under extremely light load. I used my old Corsair CXM 430 and it's been running fine since. This is mainly just a warning to others thinking about getting one of these PSUs. Don't do it, spend the extra money.

are you sure its the PSU? I seen damaged up motherboard do this. Id be more willing to bet its the PSU too, but don't rule out other parts too.

I'm sure it's the PSU. The rest of the system functions fine when I reinstalled my old PSU as a test. I ordered from amazon, so luckily I was able to return it easily as defective.

That's good that you were able to return it no problem. Usually system shutting off randomly like that especially so when its been in use with no prior issues, is the PSU dying. Good luck with the return!

It was less than a week old so amazon had no issue taking it back as defective.

If in warranty, RMA. If not, I would advise against opening the unit to inspect or try to fix it yourself. Just purchase a new one.
