I just want to say that I got a great deal on the 850 G3 this last Memorial Day weekend at Newegg_  Thanks EVGA.

I'm also starting to collect parts for my 2017 build and so far I picked up the 1070 FTW2, a new monitor, the EVGA PSU, a MSI Z270 Gaming M7, the NZXT S340 Elite _ White, and I just order a sleeved PSU cable kit from Amazon. I ordered the Black/White full kit by BitFenix for $68.99 and it comes with rubber combs...and some wish it were stiffer. I needed a black and white kit for my build because my case is going to be black and white and the RGB thing I want to do will look good against this pallete.

Yeah, I'm happy with how things are coming together. I know I could have easily gone with a 650 G3 for only one 1070 FTW2 and one i7, but I did read an article about how peak efficiency only occurs around 40% to 60% of load on a PSU. So I thought the 850 G3 would be the sweet spot for one overclocked 1070 and one overclocked i7. Another thing I took into consideration is that it's possible I might pick up another 1070 FTW2 and try my hand at SLI. I've never been a fan of SLI, but if I could pick up another card at a great price, I think I'd like to give it a go. I think the 850 G3 should be able to handle two 1070 FTW2's.
