I just  bought this just now

EVGA SuperNOVA 1200 P2, 80+ PLATINUM 1200W, Fully Modular, EVGA ECO Mode, 10 Year Warranty, Includes FREE Power On Self Tester Power Supply 220-P2-1200-X1

They are shipping but are the power cables that go usually on the right side facing board and at the worst spot, the top left corner long enough or do they make a set of longer cables. I assume this is totally modular and plug and play. I have the asus z270E motherboard and it was literally a stretch to get the upper left side connected.

Any advice or if i can order it from evga, great.

Thanks,
Bob M.

You're talking about the 8-pin EPS cable for CPU power, along with the main 24-pin cable, correct? As long as the case isn't too tall, and you've got room behind the right side panel for running/hiding cables, it should work. It will be a snug fit-- there won't be much slack once both ends are connected-- but they should reach without much of a problem. I've never had an issue with it myself, and I have this exact power supply in another PC. The EPS cable will be more of an issue than the 24-pin, though.

It might make things simpler to pull the motherboard out of the case and install that end of the cable first, since getting it connected afterward is almost always a tight fit for anyone without really small hands. You just have to route the other end through the case opening at the top as you reinstall the motherboard, and then fish it through down to the PSU.

You can also flip the PSU so that the fan is facing up into the case, which will put the connectors for the CPU and motherboard power closer to the side panel; this can get you some extra slack, if needed. You usually want to face the fan downwards if the case has an opening on the bottom, but facing it upwards also works fine, so long as there is plenty of airflow available.

EVGA does sell sleeved cable kits for your new power supply, but as far as I know they're only meant to make the cables more presentable; there isn't any difference in any of the cable lengths as far as I'm aware. There are other cabling options out there if you really do need them to be longer, but you'll probably be fine with what comes in the box-- unless you're also wanting them to look neater/cleaner (wherever they're not hidden, that is).

And yes, the PSU is fully modular. No cables are pre-attached to it out of the box.

Not pulling out the motherboard.......might try and plug (EPS cable...never heard it called that)  in to motherboard first and fish it around and then plug into psu. It just seems they're never long enough...Think I will be ok..just thought maybe they would have longer ones. I have an NZXT case (S340...the purple edition but its just black with no green logo on front) so you have an idea what case this is.) with radiator mounted to front and a glass side panel.. Sure hope my new video card fits :)

If I can point psu down as oppose to up..the better....I have an older psu but all the wires are crammed underneath (that black part at bottom of case on front where you hide stuff) which eats up alot of room for all the extra wires you don't need.
Thanks for your input..really :)

@CAROLINANUMBER1 Do Not Use Any Cables From Your Older Power Supply That Are (crammed underneath) with your New PSU.
Connects to the motherboard EPS 12V socket. Provides additional power to the CPU.
4+4 Pin ATX/EPS. A hybrid of the 4 PIN ATX12V and EPS 12V connectors that can be split in half or combined to accommodate either the EPS 12V Socket or the ATX 12V socket.
Provides additional power to the CPU
Some MB have 2 8-Pin some 2 One with 4-Pin and One with 8-Pin.
The Have Been Called EPS From Day One (Mid 90's), some just call it the CPU Power Connector.

OK....wasn't  planning on it but like I said alot of times its a struggle with the EPS cable...particularly if you're like me and put the power supply in last...lol   I think I used needle nose plyers to get the eps seated because i don't have small fingers.

Being a Intro Thread and 4 Years Old now it may have been best to of created your Own Thread for the issues you are asking about.
I have found that connecting them to the Motherboard First then route the cable(s) down to the PSU.
I have always installed the PSU Last but install any Cable(s) as needed.
What Computer Case are you using?

Looks like the EPS cable is about 29" (740mm) long, and the 24-pin ATX cable is about 23" (590mm) long:

http://www.jonnyguru.com/modules.php?name=NDReviews&op=Story2&reid=389

(The table with all the cable lengths is located at the bottom of the page.)

So yeah, cables shouldn't be a problem at all. Most newer PSUs do come with longer cables anyway since 99.9% of cases nowadays have the power supply mounted in the bottom. By the way, I built my nephews' PC in an S340, and had no issues whatsoever with cabling. In my opinion it's a little cramped size-wise, but you can also fit an awful lot of stuff in there for it to be no bigger than it is.

Also, I would definitely point the PSU fan to the bottom since you've got that shroud built into the case covering it up. You could also pull the exhaust fan(s) at the back and/or top to give yourself more room to connect the cable up in the top left corner (and just reattach them afterward), since they're much easier to deal with than the motherboard itself. And since you're using a liquid cooler, that means you don't have to worry about working around a massive heatsink mounted to the CPU, so that will help as well. And not having to attach any more cables than what you specifically need will go a long way toward uncluttering the mess you say you've got stashed under the PSU shroud right now.

Now, as to the size of the card... it's about 11.5" long, so it will overhang the edge of the motherboard by about two inches. It also sits about an inch or so taller than the bracket where it attaches to the back of the case, so it will sit a little closer to the glass as well. As long as you've got that room to spare then you should be golden.

Best of luck with everything. Be sure to post back here by creating a new thread if you run into any problems, or just to let us all know how it turned out.

Don't strech or bend cables to much...
Simply find 8pin CPU Extension if cable is too short.
If you find ribbon extension you will easier to connect with him.
That must be some tall case because I connect easy in 650D.

I still have pin extension sleeved black somewhere in house old 10-12 years, from period when you couldn't find sleeved cables only connectors.
In that period even cables with black wires were amazing.

My cases with the EVGA 1200 W P2 are all full towers, factory length cables work.  Now if your trying to rout them for best aesthetics & not shortest rout, only then they may be too short in that configuration

Thanks everyone.. sorry I have caused mayhem here with this thread...lol. Yeah, I have the NZXT S340...judging by the size of the RX580.  11.73 " x 5.28 " x 2.07 " Inch...and ithe new card will replace it, i should be ok. Its a Asus Strix card......I often wondered about cable extensions  but I don't know I ever saw one in all the builds I have ever done.
I appreciate everyone!!!
Where could I get those extensions for this particular power supply?
Warmest Regards,
Bob M.

Just search for "PC extension cables" and you'll get a wide array of results. Here's a couple to get you started:

Phanteks
https://www.amazon.com/Ph...W2V7PZ5QD6RC1&th=1

CableMod
https://www.amazon.com/CableMod-Basic-Cable-Extension-Kit/dp/B01MXWH6ZW?th=1

Extensions don't require you to buy cables specifically designed for your particular PSU since they attach between your existing cables and your motherboard/peripherals. If you were to buy a set of replacement cables, then those do need to be made specifically for your model PSU because pin-outs on the power supply end can/do vary by manufacturer (NOTE: you never want to mix cables between different PSU manufacturers!!).
