This is directed at EVGA Management/Marketing.

I have a request... Is there any chance we could see another shipping vendor as an option? UPS is becoming a dinosaur.
 
I just recently purchased a new EVGA G5 power supply and went through your in-house store to get it. The shipping options you guys have are far too expensive for the service you get. I know this particular item could definitely be shipped out USPS flat rate 2 day for about the same price as what I paid for the UPS service that takes 2-5 business days. This delay in shipping time gives me a lot of time to stew on the thought of just picking up something else because it's going to take longer to get it. There is a reason Amazon's services are so popular and the shipping part is a major player in their service.

    UPS is horrible in my area ....

    I tried removing a signature on a shipment to accommodate a buyer and couldn't because their policies and systems are still ancient while USPS and FEDEX give you more flexibility, even allowing you to sign the missed package slip or electronically via phone app for acceptance while UPS does not.  Was on the phone with them scratching my head while the rep agreed with me that changes need to be made.  smh

EVGA uses UPS as it provides full insurance should anything happen to any of the products that are purchased through our online store from products that are a few dollars to several thousands of dollars, something that USPS can not take accountability for in a timely and easily matter, also UPS will provide full tracking details. If you have any concerns or further questions you may contact our Support Team at 888-881-3842 who are available 6am-10pm PST 7 days a week.

    So, this was mine:

    I understand the liability part of insuring very expensive hardware. However, after dealing with UPS’s claims department, I have discovered that they do not back their full coverage insurance, they actually pass the blame and the customer or business ends up taking the hit anyway… Leaving the customer with a poor experience and reduces the chance of them coming back since the insurance coverage has no backing. Quite frankly, using their service only damages EVGA’s reputation/perception.

    I have personally experienced this 3 times on purchases above $500. For example, UPS delivered a package to me while it was storming... I arrived at home 5 hours later to find a completely soaked/destroyed package. After calling UPS,  I was hung up on multiple times and told that only the seller of the product is allowed to talk to them. To make things even worse, they scheduled a pick-up without my knowledge and accidentally mistook my 3LB package for something else I purchased as a return for a 50LB package. The seller ended up taking the cost of the damages on this one and I had to beg for them to send back my 3LB package that was wrongfully picked up by UPS.

    What’s stopping EVGA from using Amazon as a shipping vendor? Their tracking is on point. Their shipping service is also just as dependable/reliable. I’ve seen many 3rd parties post on their site as “Sold by (3rd party here) and fulfilled by Amazon.” I don’t know… anything but UPS. Even FedEx has been picking up their game.

    I haven't really had a problem with UPS myself but it would be nice if the driver would at least ring the door bell or knock. I know nothing EVGA can do about it and it's got to the point I just do a hold for pickup since I don't want stuff left outside until I notice it. I should also say a lot of the UPS stuff I get isn't from EVGA so signature required isn't an option on it.
