Dumb... I can't step-up from a 3060 to a 3060 Ti. There's not many options for 200-210mm video cards, and only those two meet the the requirement in EVGA's 3000 series line-up. Would love to step-up to a 3060 Ti.

I mentioned this earlier that there are no valid cards to step up to a 3060ti. Then I thought maybe it was because the 3050 wasn't out yet and that would be the card to step up from.

Got one and still wasn't able to step up to 3060ti with it so I opted to step up to a 3060 because the 3050 isn't good...

Still odd that the media assets used when announcing the step-up program changes contained a 3060ti as one of the in-stock examples yet there's absolutely no way to step up to it...

I take it back, looks like you can step up to 3060ti from a 3050. They updated the table in step-up overview page.

Must have not been in stock when I joined the queue :(

The original post showed a 3060ti FTW3

Step-Up Inventory List:

Currently shows 'in-stock' for Europe but not North America when you go to the step-up main page and scroll to the section labeled "STEP-UP INVENTORY - WHAT CAN I STEP-UP TO?"

I would have much rather stepped up to a 3060ti instead of a 3060.

Doesn't look like any 2 fan cards are listed anywhere which is what you were looking for so kindof a moot point from your perspective... Sorry about that.

Exactly... the 3060 is the two fan version, but I just purchased that two weeks ago and it's frequently in-stock on the EVGA site and at my local stores. The two fan version of the 3060 Ti is difficult to find. I only see scalpers selling it and they sell it for about $300-400 more than the 3060.

Funny my friend has the opposite problem. He got a 3060ti two fan model from a Newegg shuffle but wants a 3-fan version due to better thermals and being just within the size threshold to fit in his ITX case.

There seems to be more cards available recently, any chance the program is updated to include 3070ti XC or a 3060ti?

since the 3090 can step-up to the 3090 Ti, I wonder why 3080 can't do the same like 3080 to 3080 Ti since the 3080 Ti performs similar to the 3090 but half the vram

I was curious about it though

Because the 3090ti is brand new, and the 3080ti isn’t.

I would assume once the 3090ti crosses the 90 day post launch window, it will likely fall off the list, but I have been wrong a lot in the past.

I still wish EVGA would actually remove cards from the list in general once they hit 91 days post launch. The purpose of the program was to protect individuals for 90 days after a new product launched, and it slowly turned into a purchase program so anyone could buy a card at any time, no matter when the launch was, with the intent of some users to get an upgrade over time. Many individuals use the program as a way to purchase one card with the goal of getting another, which is what spurred the massive changes to the program to begin with.

I believe you can still step up to the 3090ti. It's just not shown because you didnt register your card 14 days after purchase. I believe they state you need to buy the extended warranty and then you'll have access to the Step up. Strange right? That's what I remember reading in the fine print.

I believe the same thing happened to me:

Place Purchased: EVGA
Purchase Date*: 02/26/2022
Date Registered: 3/19/2022 10:10:20 PM

I wasn't in a hurry to register the card as it sat in a box for 2 weeks or more before I could get other parts like a mb and cpu and ram..

Also had no idea their was a rush to register! Haha

And I've been using evga for decades.

I've never registered something first before using it and making sure it works and I was gona keep it... as in I thought I had 30 days to return encase I changed my mind.. or found a 3080ti ftw3 ultra in stock.. nope.. 14 return window at evga.. and 14 day register window or you must buy extended warranty if you want Step up options.

Anyways.. call evga first before blowing Like $160 for a 5 year warranty for nothing if that's not the issue.

I hope the 3080 becomes available for a step up in the US. I got till early next month to decide if I want to step up from a 3060ti, and I'm not sure the 3070ti is worth it.

I've got until July 4th. I bought a 3070TI and while it's definitely an improvement over the 2070 I'd like to step up to a 3080.

As you know, GPU prices are coming down and EVGA is selling many of its stock with instant rebates. But those wishing to step up cannot apply any promotions and have to use the MSRP price difference for their calculations. Even worse, any original discounts are deducted from the trade-in MSRP, so the amount you have to pay increases. So I want to know, has EVGA ever adjusted the MSRP of its GPU products to match market prices instead of just offering discounts? I assume that would never happen because that affects prices for sellers like newegg.

The discount allows EVGA to adjust the pricing accordingly, including taking it away and charging MSRP, without having to touch/update the MSRP all the time. Think of the discount as a promotional campaign. Therefore, the simple answer to your question is No, EVGA will not change the MSRP at this point.

Looks like I'm stepping up 3060ti to 3070ti. only have till Saturday for this, and I doubt the 3080 will be available before then. Seems like winning the Newegg shuffle was actually a curse.

3080 is available right now to order via this link  for $869. Would be nice to step up to it, right? Well, not according to EVGA. If you want to step-up to 3080 you are welcome to pay $1299.

MSRP for 10G-P5-3897-KL is shown as $919. This card is not available for step-up, while you can buy it directly via their website without any queues. However, you are more than welcome to step-up to 12G-P5-4877-KL for the price of $1299, which is not even available to order, not to mention nobody is going to buy it for this price.

I've been a loyal customer of EVGA for ages but this is my last EVGA card solely for the way EVGA treats step-up customers this time. The program has been one of the main reasons I've been loyal EVGA customer but EVGA greed made it a rip-off. It would be much better not to advertise the program at all to avoid customer frustration.

EVGA will usually only release one model card for the duration of a lifecycle, accept in extenuating circumstances.

As the step up program is a “nice to have” I would not suggest anyone to hold their breath on getting more models added to the line up.

If I were EVGA I wouldn't hold my breath on customers to stay loyal after the way they treat them with step-up policies.

Look at Post #1

step-up inventory was always separate from the retail inventory & RMA inventory

Seems EVGA still has some items listed on the page

https://www.evga.com/support/stepup/

look at what is available: (under)

Step-Up Inventory - What can I Step-Up to?

then go up the page to see what your current GPU might qualify for ---> New restrictions on Step-Up availability:

EVGA is out of the GPU business. Step Up is dead.
