Hello everybody!
The a/m PSU doesn't want to start. When PS_ON and GND is shorted, the fan spins for a few seconds, relay clicks for few times and the PSU stops working. So far I've managed to check the following things: The visual inspection didn't show any bad caps, broken pcb tracks, burned components, +5VSB voltage is present, and the main capacitor is showing abt +350V DC.
I'd like to repair it by myself, as it doesn't have any warraty. Do you have any advice what to check next, or what might be the problem with it. Thanks

And why doesn't the unit have any warranty? Because you opened it up?

That may be the reason. :) Anyway I wanted to repair it by myself as I want to learn more about electronics.

I'd suggest you just buy another unit if you don't have any knowledge on fixing psu's.

Well, I will surely do so when I give up with this one :). For now I'm very determined to fix this :)). I know my way around soldering iron, basic eletronics and measurements. Just want to treat this as a learning ground.

If you think there's no power in a power supply you are probably wrong and will probably be electrocuted.
