 earlier my SC 17 1070 laptop was freezing at boot with back screen, so I updated BIOS yesterday. I solved the black screen issue. But my windows is freezing after startup, in 2-3 minutes.

Interesting. I had no freezing issues or screen issues (thank god) since I bought it in February, but my keyboard backlight would randomly turn off, i happened to call tech support who told me there was a new bios update that fixed a lot of issues, although he had never heard of this problem. So I updated the bios the other day, now I’ve had the damn thing freeze 4 or 5 times on start up (once logging into windows, always shows no wifi when it freezes too, even though when I reboot, wifi is on, just like when I shut it down) in the 2 days since updating the bios, been at work since then so not sure if it’ll continue.
Is yours a gsync or not?. Mine isn’t

Funny about the screen thing, a buddy and I bought ours on the same weekend, they both shipped on the same Monday. He had screen issues, I’ve had none. He also had a dead pixel from day one, then more a month ago, fortunately they rma’d it for him though.
