New card out of the box with no Precision X1 ever installed and bios switched to no OC, I noticed desktop temps idle at 61C via MSI Afterburner (Auto Fans). I then downloaded X1 1.1.1 and installed - new BIOS auto installed. This thing loves to cook at idle without a fan curve. Default Custom curve fixes that up nicely to 27C idle. Question however is when the system sleeps, fans stop and temps climb up to +60C .. a bit toasty for sleep imo? Thoughts or fixes anyone? Thanks folks

The 3080/3090 FTW3 "Normal" VBIOS is a 0dB VBIOS (same for the XC3 cards as well). That means that the fans will not turn on until 60C.

The 3080/3090 FTW3 "OC" VBIOS is a 33% fan speed minimum VBIOS, with a more aggressive fan curve. It does not overclock the card more. When switching back and forth, the PC must either be off, or you have to restart the PC in order for the switched VBIOS to load.
