I thought I read that nvlink is indeed off the table for anything but the 3090, although it's rather overkill for anything other than ML anyway. That said, the 3080ti does sound like it'll have a fair amount going for it

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti Gaming Graphics Card Unveil on 18th May, Reviews on 25th & Launch on 26th May.... Not sure when Evga elite members will get to purchase this card. 24hrs early I hope.

hm... It is postponed to 31 May, and both release dates are rumour so they might not be accurate 

Desperately looking for a RTX 3080ti

Can't because nvidia hasn't even release the card. EVGA can't make them without the card.

Can't because nvidia hasn't even release the card. EVGA can't make them without the card. 


They have been shipping for weeks. First pallets from some of the Asian vendors I saw online were about five weeks ago. EEC certification was two months ago for most vendors. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if Best Buy had them already with a street date on them. PCB and everything else are already designed and it’s literally a drop in silicon at this point.
 
While nvidia hasn’t officially released the card, you can be sure it’s been ready for a bit.

I think only the 3090 will work with nvlink. SLI is dead anyway, don't bother.
