Hey EVGA! I know ya got a couple of RTX 2080ti's lying around somewhere to check cooling and all things that need to be checked. How about EVGA run some benchmarks and post them, so we the consumer can really see what were getting into if we purchase or step-up? I would like to step up, but would like to see what the real world performance of these cards are right now. Thanks!

Do you really believe EVGA or any other manufacturer is allowed to post such things? There is NDA for that from nvidia. AFAIK they even have NDA for NDA so manufacturers are basically not even allowed to say "nvidia doesn't allow us to give you benchmark results".

I really dont like the idea of pre ordering anything that does not have a fact based number to base it on. I mean you dont even have any gpu clock or boost clock. TBD... Really? It could be the exact same clock speeds as any other 10 series card... but wait.. in 2 years when everyone finally has a R-Tracing game made... and based on our inflated numbers(Nvidia), You could have a card that is multiple times faster than a 1080ti.. maybe...? So yeah, i would like to see something instead of "Buy this car..it could get up to 40mpg" But we will determine that at a later time.

NDA, till launch.. yes there are drivers. Provided by Nvidia for there partners to test correctly. " PC boots.. Look we have video! Ok Box it up, its good!"

lol maybe in terms of ray tracing benchmarks/games. low cuda core counts on 2080 and below, I'm gonna guess raw game performance is going to remain the same if not a very minimal jump ESPECIALLY since most demanding 4k titles ask 9-10gb of vram and the 2080 only has 8. "6x more powerful.... in ray tracing" well no duh, no cards until now had chips specifically dedicated to ray tracing and ray tracing alone. either way, we will find out soon. I personally will step up to a 2080 ONLYif its 5-10% faster than a 1080ti in terms of fps.

like they didn't "unintentionally leak"the 2080 box and card picture. You're being a touch naive Kram. Besides, EVGA isn't the only board partner with things in the news before launch. Safe to say none of the vendors have had drivers up till now if they just got them.

Naive that I think EVGA would not leak benchmarks? No, it's called trust, maybe you don't know what that is? As for the box and card pictures, I don't think EVGA leaked that intentionally either. That could have came from a number of retailers that had the pictures for today's release.

My thoughts exactly. We went from "Have a look at the Fastest GPU (Ti) in the World! priced @ $xxx" (The crowd goes wild) to (Enthusiastically announces) "RTX Family starts at $499!".......(Lowers tone of voice later on) RTX 1080Ti $999.....(Raises voice of ultimate excitement) Back to the $499 price point. Went went from Top to Bottom to Bottom and Top slowly. lol No info on raw performance which is key here and I think many were possibly confused with the whole RT chatter, possibly taking it as raw performance.

Went went from Top to Bottom to Bottom and Top slowly. lol
No info on raw performance which is key here and I think many were possibly confused with the whole RT chatter, possibly taking it as raw performance.
Yes! we have no idea the performance of these cards outside of the fact that Ray Tracing, may make them much faster. Real world performance now, could be worse, and we wait for the Ray Tracing thing to be adopted by all developers. If the step up works out in my favor, i might get one, other than that i think i might wait to see what the real numbers are like.

Watch some videos from some of the bigger youtube tech channels yesterday and most of them said they would have benchmarks soon. Paul's Hardware said he would be testing the cards soon as he gets back from Germany. https://youtu.be/5nAkuR2mXuE?t=10m

RTX technology seems very taxing, considering 1080p is quite easy for cards now days and is a basic baseline of testing, reports of sub 60fps is concerning yet should give perspective of how intense real time ray tracing is. Now, turn this off and this is what we want to know. However, no one is showing this, RTX is great and all but 95% are not using it now or will any time soon, so we need more practical game testing with what we use today. We aren't going to see RTX technology overtake everything for a good decade or so, then it will be the norm.

squall-leonhart Not that you have drivers available even if you did....
Of course there is drivers for them already.. they still have to be tested. Or "Yep, we built a really fast card... hope it works well when a driver is released" Buy it now!
Drivers have not been provided to MFG's prior to this launch. Or else we would have seen benchmark numbers raining from the sky this last week
Ye have little faith in EVGA's relationship with nVidia.
Not at all, i just know how intentional leaks work.
That's exactly what I'm talking about. EVGA would never intentional leak benchmarks.
like they didn't "unintentionally leak"the 2080 box and card picture. You're being a touch naive Kram. Besides, EVGA isn't the only board partner with things in the news before launch. Safe to say none of the vendors have had drivers up till now if they just got them.
For all we know know, it could have been a pc gamer running the press at the box assembly plant that "leaked" the pics. I know we had someone leak the pics of the box for the Atari Jaguar when i ran a print shop. Though it was not me.
