I have an EVGA GeForce RTX 2080Ti Black GPU that has started to fail rendering in IRAY both in Daz Studio and nVidia's IRAY server.
I swear it used to work in on an older version of Daz Studio, using older drivers at the time, but since updating Daz it started to fail with the following errors:
2021-04-04 10:40:30.122 Iray [INFO] - IRAY:RENDER ::   1.0   IRAY   rend info : Initializing local rendering.
2021-04-04 10:40:30.128 Iray [INFO] - IRAY:RENDER ::   1.0   IRAY   rend info : Using OptiX version 7.1.0
2021-04-04 10:40:30.131 WARNING: ..\..\..\..\..\src\pluginsource\DzIrayRender\dzneuraymgr.cpp(359): Iray [ERROR] - IRAY:RENDER ::   1.0   IRAY   rend error: optixInit() failed: Unsupported ABI version. Please update your NVIDIA driver (www.nvidia.com).
I've already updated to the latest drivers (465.89), tried rolling back to older driver versions, tried removing my secondary GPU (a 980Ti), but it keeps failing. Like I mentioned I also get an error to this effect ("Unsupported ABI version") attempting to render in nVidia's IRAY server so I've come to believe the issue isn't with Daz Studio but rather with this particular brand of card - other users say they can render with a 2080Ti without issue though I'm not sure from what manufacturer.

I saw a firmware update had been released on these forums and tried running it but the command-line prompt complained about something like needing a newer nvflash version, so I downloaded the latest nvflash version and tried flashing with the newest compatible BIOS I could find from techpowerup.
From what I recall, the current and new BIOS versions remained the same.

PrecisionX1 v1.1.8 shows that my BIOS version is: 90.02.17.00.8E, Firmware: 49.49.76 - I don't know if this is actually the latest or not. The firmware thread claimed that if I had the latest I'd be able to set the power target of the card up to 130% in PrecisionX1, but I can only go up to 112%.

I've also updated my MB BIOS to, I think, the latest version.
I'm pretty much out of ideas here and would really appreciate some help or insight: I'm particularly curious to know whether or not I have the latest BIOS/Firmware for my card and if other users are able to render in IRAY with this specific card.

Thanks.

    So I had posted on the nVidia forums and an employee reached out to me: The solution was to search the Windows directory for nvoptix.dll and/or nvrtum64.dll and if I found anything outside a Windows\System32\DriverStore folder to delete them. Sure enough I found copies of both files under both Windows\System32 and Windows\System32\DriverStore so I moved the ones from System32 and that solved my issue.

    I hope this ends up helping somebody with the same issue, this had me running around for quite a while to where I thought I needed to get a better GPU.
