As of last week I've ordered the evga RTX 2070xc gaming model (not ultra). its ATM unopened and im in process of building pc once other parts ordered come in, waiting on a few last remaining items. Further reading about the RTX cards in general has me worried tho, hearing about artifact issues, blue screening and more

what have any of you guys had for experiences, better yet with this specific model card?
also what cards currently not breaking the $1000 mark hold high reliability?

Ideally $500-$800ish is most i want to spend on a GPU, a 30fps isn't worth the additional money personally to me. just want a reliable card that plays 1080p on ultra settings with 100-120 frames per second. highest graphic stressed game i prob play is battlefield V.

to add with the nvidia 20 series released on SEPT 2018, i have bought mine this march of 2019.

whats your guys thoughts?

I’ve been through two 2060’s both damaged in transit to my home.
They seem way too fragile and not built well like my 950 and 1060 was.

I’m not a IT guy I’m just a consumer who got a 2060 in a partially smashed box. A week and a half later it failed.
So I RMA’d it. I was sent back a card that smelled of fire and would not work after removing it from the clamshell.
I begain removing my working 1060, installing The fire smelling card and having it not boot. I immediately returned it to the clamshell and RMA’d that one and called and said this card smells like fire and does not boot. Then I returned my 1060 which worked, paid 19 dollars to return the defective card which upon arrival I was told it was missing a tiny capacitor and I was denied a refund.
In almost 20 years I’ve never had a bad experience with EVGA until now.
So I sit here feeling empty and like a deer in the headlights and down $379.
