Is there any benefit to removing my inactive notifications from the prior queue 2.0? Does that increase my chances in any way of being selected?

If they are inactive, then removing them won't do anything as far as chances.  In 2.0 you should only have two active max.  Going forward you still only have two active max in total between 2.0 and 3.0.

Nice to see EVGA doing a favor for all, and still carry on with the 3.0 Queue system. But there is no VGA in stock that I can make a choice, there is no NOTIFY ME button for the 12G-P5-4865-KL which I wanted to wait. I did signed up for 3060 ti in 2.0 though.

Q. I purchased a 30 Series product last year. What does deprioritize mean and how does it impact my position in the queue?

A. The EVGA Queue has given many people the opportunity to purchase a 30 Series graphics card, but there are still many people waiting to buy one. To assist, we will allow users in a Tier that have not yet purchased a 30 Series card through EVGA.com to take priority over those who have already purchased a 30 Series graphics card from EVGA.com in the same Tier.
Once everyone in a Tier has purchased a 30 Series card, the queue will begin to move for users that have purchased a 30 Series product through EVGA.com.

Everybody make sure to keep this in mind if you were planning on scooping a 3050 or something while you wait for other queues! Doing so would basically disqualify you from getting a 12GB 3080/etc until much later.

All looks very fair, good changes eVGA

Is the queue already closed for the new 3080 12 gb?

All I see when I goto the evga store (USA) is the same notice re: queue is closed due to high demand. I've never once seen any ability to signup for 2.0 or now this new 3.0 queue.

a) are we able to signup for 3.0 queue?
b) if so, how/where?

a)  Yes you will be able to sign up.

b)  The 3080 12GB was only open for a very brief time and then closed.  Whether it was a test, who knows.  Supposedly it will reopen soon.  Just keep informed with EVGA news and definitely these forums for date and time.  This GPU and all the other new releases will be 3.0.  The 2.0 queues, earlier releases, may open again some time in the future.

Opened and then closed this morning (morning for EVGA HQ at least).  Try back tomorrow morning and it may or may not open back up.  There is no guarantee and no definitive timing posted by EVGA as far as I have seen.

I want a 30 series card. I read all posts and got scared of surrounded by so many "Elites" here. But I still don't want to give up and will check out the website for that little tiny "auto notify" button every morning starting from tomorrow.

I purchased a 30XX card 12/26 that was available knowing that I'd eventually be able to upgrade via the update program.  As the card didn't come in till early 2022 (registered the day it came in) and now it looks like I'm in the 3.0 queue.  Having a 30xx card and being new to EVGA it appears I'm not realistically ever going to get an upgrade offer which is very disappointing.  Bad CX for a new EVGA customer - Disappointing!

Just to make sure I know where to look since I've never actually ever seen a signup button enabled, assuming the queue ever opens back up - I am supposed to see/click on the actual product page right?

e.g. if I want to enter notification for this 3080 12GB, I would just keep checking this page - ?

If enabled, does the signup button take the place of the 'temporarily disable' message area?

-edit - I don't know why the forum won't allow me to paste a link to the 3080 12GB product page.

Yes, on the product page.  There will be a yellow button below that area.

Interesting to see how this pans out - clearly EVGA have given this a lot of thought (thank you!), and glad to see new multi-account scalpers and scumbots won't be able to abuse the system quite so easily. Yay! Suck on it! Hahahaha! Hahaha! Haha! :D

I wondered where my score was, but apparently it's not available until tomorrow (edit: yes.. 01/12/2022 9am PST).

People gonna wear these scores like a giant e-peen or what? lol.

Questions:
What if you purchased and registered a product, then later sold it and unregistered it? Does it still count?
How far back does this go? I have over 50 registered products showing, but some go back to early 2009...

Also I thought Elite members got advanced notice of new products.. I see there was a new 3080 12GB card released this morning but I knew nothing about it until just now (not that I was planning to buy one) ...or is that notice only for new product lines, so basically the next thing would be Z690 motherboard release, and then 40 series cards, etc.? ..or maybe I missed it in the 3.0 details. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I finally gave up hope of getting a 3090 KingPin Hydrocopper and removed myself from the queue just now, so I have nothing on notify. Bring. It. On.

It sounds like it would be better to create a new account if you've already purchased a 3000 card because while it would be new and thus at the bottom of the non-purchased accounts, at least you would be in a tier above your other account.

First registered owner that uploads an invoice gets the points.  If you uploaded your invoice before unregistering it, then the points will count.  If the product was purchased from EVGA.com and registered, the points will count (invoice is optional for purchases from EVGA.com).  Points via registration count for 3 years from the purchase date.

Of course, if for some reason a user is the original owner and doesn't think they're getting credit for a registered product, feel free to contact Customer Service to check.

Elite members will usually get first chance at signing up for a notification, but we cannot promise advanced notice of products (no, there's nowhere near enough incentive for us to break embargo).  In this case, we did open the 3080 12GB notifications to Elite members, but we had a limited cap on notifications for the product, so it closed earlier than 24 hours.  I would not expect this to be the norm going forward for launches in 2022 and beyond.

Glad to see its taken seriously here, I haven't been able to get a 10/16/20/30 series card yet, or any equivalent (not going to waste my money on a 1030). Not everyone was able to buy graphics cards when they were affordable and in stock.

I am interested in the RTX 3080 12GB version as this would make the card better for remastered games.

You should have been around in early October; that was some backlash to the original 2.0 revisions (that were promptly walked back). Today hasn't felt anything like that...others may disagree.

I am hopeful that this new queue will work out.  Most of the backlash is centered around the relative nebulousness of some aspects of the new system (How many tiers, what level of deprioritization will occur for having purchased a card, how are points actually calculated etc.)  I personally think the 3-year requirement on purchases leaves out a pretty sizeable chunk of the "loyal" group because there are plenty of people that don't upgrade every generation and the newer generations of cards are more spaced out (used to be pretty much a year between generations when I bought my first cards from EVGA, now it's typically around 2 years between generations).  It would also be nice to see how many points you get for each segment too (Ribbons, purchases, and bucks) to help better understand your score.  I earned quite a few bucks back in the day folding before they shuttered that promotion, and "luckily" (or more realistically prematurely) bought all of the new components that were available for my build in the past couple of months so I'm not too worried about my score.  But ultimately I think their desire to reduce the need of being the "first" to sign up is a little over-optimistic.  If the short period of notifies this morning is any indication, signing up quickly is still very important because that will still be used in determining your priority for receiving a card.

*To celebrate EVGA Queue 3.0, the users with the 300 highest EVGA Scores will be exempt from this requirement for select future launches, beginning with the GeForce RTX 3080 12GB. These users may sign up for a notification and proceed without being deprioritized for a previous 30 Series purchase from EVGA.com. This offer is only good for one product/notification queue, and once the product is purchased it may not be used again.

Question, how will we know who is, or if we are in the top 300?  I've gotten previous cards over the past year and half, but always been out of step-up range, so I may consider a 12GB were I in that top 300 (probably unlikely).  So will we know tomorrow when the scores update if we are?  Thus we know if we should just leave our existing 2.0 reservations instead of being de-prioritized on the 3.0 queue.

The abuse of power that seems to create the most unhappiness is when a person uses personal power to get ahead without regards to the welfare of others, people are obsessed with it. I hope that tier levels based on score are clearly defined for people.  Otherwise given some of the complexity of the new 3.0 rules, it will be very hard for someone to discern the best course of action going forward.

I've been waiting for a 3080 for almost a year. This queue change will push me further back in the line. Since I'll get my GPU late, and will register it after I get it.

Not that I want 2 GPUs, but in this queue system, I'm already behind. :(

Ask yourself, can you stop a Persian army, with only a few of your friends?

I guess I'll keep my 2.0 reservations, with a significantly better chance of getting a card. This will not be soon, but it will be sooner compared to queue 3.0.

I hope the new queue will get people a card faster. I've been waiting for a 3070, and am in queue 2.0.
But I think the requirements for 3.0 will leave a lot of loyal customers out, especially those that are still on 10 series cards, IMO those people should get a higher priority than those with RTX 20 series or 30 series cards.
