apopilot I went through the new queue 3.0 system FAQ. I may have missed this information, but when does signing up for a new queue begin again?
Thanks
Queue for the 3080 12gb was already up this morning and has since closed (notify button removed). Not sure when it will re-open again.) I was wondering the same thing ( notify button) , so like are people logging onto evga first thing every morning to see if they selling new product? I didn't now they where going to release a 3080 12gb model, I only knew about the 3090ti and the other lesser model.
There were articles floating around that the 3080 12GB was coming today. So people would have known to come looking today. Not just randomly.

bradsour Will we know what tier we are in along with our score?
I believe we will know our score but not tier as I believe each SKU will have their own tier per say.
Why do you think that each product will have individual tiers (based on different scores)? I would assume the tiers are always broken apart by the same metrics, so that my score always gets me into the same tier for all product.

I've pretty much given up on getting a card from EVGA.com at this point. I have 2 x 3080 notifies active right now. One from Sept 16, 2020, and another from Sept 30, 2020: US 10G-P5-3895-KR9/30/2020 8:16:11 AM PTNoTrue US 10G-P5-3883-KR9/16/2020 2:59:49 PM PTNoTrue I've seen numerous posts on these forums from people claiming to have gotten notifies for multiple 30-series cards, and people like me are still waiting for one. Do I think this new queue system will help? Not really. As I said, I've already given up hope.

enewt Sorry, still haven't had my caffeine yet. If I have one Queue 2.0 active notification (say the 3090 KPE HC, for example) active, does that take up one of the two Queue 3.0 slots that is expressed the summary bullet point: Another way of asking the question is "do the Queue 2.0 active registrations affect whether you can sign up for 2, 1 or 0 Queue 3.0 SKUs?
Yes. You may only have 2 active notifications at any time, regardless if they are Queue 2.0 or Queue 3.0. If you want to sign up for a Queue 3.0 card, and you have both notifications filled with Queue 2.0 cards, you must remove at least one of the Queue 2.0 cards. However, the remaining notification from Queue 2.0 will still be treated like Queue 2.0, unless you also remove that one.
Hello! First of all, thank you very much for constantly looking into improving the queuing system! EVGA is definitly the company who cares the most about gamers looking for a series 3000. After reading the whole link posted, the FAQ section and every comment in this thread, I still have quite a few questions. 1) What are the main differences between Queue 2.0 and Queue 3.0? 2) From what I understood, since I am queued already for two products in the queue 2.0 since July, it means that I have reached the maximum amount of queue for both 2.0 and 3.0 combined. This said, does it mean that if I want to join the queue 3.0 and its benefits from 2.0 in the future, I will have to first abandon one of my current queue and then restart from the beginning with the (old/new?) product with queue 3.0? 2.1) If the previous statement is right, how am I supposed to know if the queues I'm currently in will move slower and faster than the new queue I would be getting in? I personally don't care which card I am getting, I just want one. So what matters for me is getting into the fastest queue possible. Switching from 2.0 to 3.0 seems risky and I don't know how to analyze the current situation to take a decision with the information given. 3) Is there a way to get into some type of auto-notification when a new GPU is about to get released with the exact date and time so you can plan in advance the queue? 3.1) I have read in this thread that it seems that a new model got released Today and the queue was closed already. Will it open again before the 24 hours is over to allow elite members to queue? 4) On top of the page of the link provided, it's written : "The First EVGA Score snapshot will occur on 1/12/2022 at 9AM PST". If I understood correctly, it means that the queue 3.0 is already live. So if for example, even if I would have no reason to do so, would remove myself from a 2.0 queue and then queue again for the same old product or for a new product, it would then be considered a 3.0 queue? Thank you for clarification!

All don't give up, your very close on those. I had to do a triple check because my first post wasn't going to be so cheery but those are very close, I'd hang in there and hold onto those spots unless something comes up.

At this point in time, it's best to forget sub 1k 3080 until july, when eth goes POS(hopefully). After that you'll soon be able to buy 3 for 1k.

Your explanation is almost exactly as what he asked. But instead of looking through the EVGA forums, you suggest looking at articles from third party websites. I believe that it would make a whole lot of sense if EVGA would develop a system of auto-notification that you can apply for in your account for different categories of products which would release in the future. Maybe send a notification 24 or 48 hours prior of the official release with the exact time so you can get ready to queue for the product.

the nucas i like the bones of this program, but does it actually reward customers who stick with EVGA? a friend of mine is trying to upgrade this year, his last build was in 2017. i've known him for years and when upgrade time roles (we often tend to sync up) i know he favors EVGA gear. but if i'm reading the rules right, that means none of his EVGA equipment will actually count towards his score - his 1070 card would be reduced in score weight, but it doesn't even count anyway - it was purchased more than 3 years ago, and the page indicates points only count for 3 years from date of purchase. just looking at GPUs, it seems weighted towards people who have recently bought cards, mostly 2000 series owners, or 3000 series owners who got cards from somewhere besides EVGA. valuable customers to retain since they like to spend, if that's your goal - but if you want to also keep brand evangelizers in your ecosystem, there should be a better balance, maybe something besides a blanket 3-year cut off. who's buying a 1000w titanium PSU planning to scrap it in 3 years? just some stuff i was thinking about. he just got an ultrawide screen monitor and his 1070 is creaking under the strain. i've been trying to help him get a card but it'd be nice if there was a way for EVGA's programs to reward people like him, who are on (what i consider to be) a more normal 3+ year upgrade schedule.
Your friend should have a shot at getting a card. The tiered program provides an opportunity to obtain GPUs for those with low EVGA product purchase volume, little to no bucks, and no ribbons. These folks will sit in a lower tier, but that tier should still get allotment every drop per SKU. That group will mainly compete then on the basis of signup times (like the old way). This is because they will likely all be in the same score bracket (meaning, lowest). Everyone has a chance, but you must still be quick to sign up in case of the tie situation.

Most likely opening back up tomorrow for general population. Be quick and expect it to close again soon after.

Change your email back to what you signed up your notifications with, and your notifications will come back. Because the notifications on Queue 2.0 and earlier are tied directly to the email address, changing the email on your account will make it seem like they disappeared, but they haven't.

How can people be missing out if the queue is no longer based on timestamp? It's supposed to prioritize based on their tier. By blindly prohibiting people from getting into the queue just a few hours later this is a time based prohibition and we'll be right back to the mad dash of F5ing the crap out of the site and taking it down, rather than more leisurely strolling in at some point during the day.

gsrcrxsi so if you followed the previous rules and got a card, now it's "back of the line" for everything going forward? can anyone quantify deprioritization? do you get dumped to the bottom of the list from being a prior patron? or just knocked down a few pegs? do registered products offset your deprioritization? it all seems a bit vague on that point. do registered products require invoice upload/approval to count for points? or just register? if the later I foresee some folks just grabbing random serials online to register phantom products that they don't really own.
I interpret this policy to read that you will be pushed behind anyone IN YOUR TIER who has not yet received a 30 Series card from the EVGA queue. This would mean that you still get priority over the lower Tiers. So, spend more, help more, earn more bux still gets you ahead of others... just not the folks within your Tier who are on their first card from the queue or who have a better score. If you are Top Tier, then it is highly unlikely (although possible) that there would be anyone ahead of you who has yet to get a 30 series from the queue. More or less yes, but.... It is correct that you are pushed behind people in your tier while you are deprioritized, but also behind others in lower tiers as well. It's not until you are no longer deprioritized that your EVGA Score once again becomes the best predictor of when you might receive your notification. 00joshua So am I to understand that a certain percentage of each stock drop will be set aside for each tier? Otherwise how do people below the highest tier get any cards? For example:
- 60% of 3080's will go to people in the Top Tier, prioritizing non-RTX 30-owners first.
- 30% of 3080's will go to people in the Mid Tier, non-owners first.
- 10% of 3080's will go to people in the Bottom Tier, non-owners first.
Or perhaps it's like this (numbers simplified):
- The Top tier has 100 people. Each drop they get 10 cards (10% of tier fulfilled per drop)
- The Middle tier has 1000 people. Each drop they get 50 cards (5% of tier fulfilled per drop)
- The Bottom tier has 10k people. Each drop they get 100 cards (1% of tier fulfilled per drop)
Without agreeing with the percentages, the upper example is roughly what we described on the Queue 3.0 page. Over time, as the higher score tiers are fulfilled, more and more product will become available to the lower tiers.

I believe we will know our score but not tier as I believe each SKU will have their own tier per say.

bradsour is correct. Tiers are only going to be used for the purpose of sorting the queue at this time. I suppose there could come a time where EVGA Scores/Tiers could be used to provide a limited opportunity to purchase an exclusive product (or something else), but there are no plans to do so at this time.

Without agreeing with the percentages, the upper example is roughly what we described on the Queue 3.0 page. Over time, as the higher score tiers are fulfilled, more and more product will become available to the lower tiers.
You have stated "higher score tiers" a couple times now. So the tiers are simply based on score? How many tiers? What are their score ranges?

Yes, the tiers are based entirely on EVGA Score. At this time, we won't offer additional details on tiers or the score ranges that make up the tiers.

I just picked up a 3080 Ti FTW3 Ultra and registered it. Thinking I might wait until the end of January to start the Step-Up in case a 3090 Ti launches.

Shraf2k My guess it being open this morning was in error and was quickly closed. And that goes towards queue 2.0. Not 3.0.
No, we chose to do a limited queue this morning. I don't have a time or date when the queue will reopen, but it will at some point.

jaeparku very sad to see such a high price for a 3080.
thank Nvidia for that... They realized they priced the 3080 "too low" since miners ate them up but hopefully gamers remember these days when mining dies down and there's multiple GPU manufacturers. I know I'll remember.
pepperidge farms will remember

Is this a confirmation that Elite 24-hour access is a thing of the past?
