The 970 original had an issue where the sli fingers were wired different. The 970ftw+ had it corrected.

Using the 1070 as your example doesnt work because it is a completely different card.

It may light up, but sli wont work with the use of an outside program.

Why would you want to mix them after being told it wont work?

No. Stock ftw and ssc never had support for sli lighting. That was why the ssc+ and ftw+ came about. If you mix the original version ftw with ftw+, sli doesnt work at all, which makes lighting even less useful.

If you have an ftw and a ftw+ or ssc and ssc+, you need to contact evga at support@evga.com with the serial number to both cards. They can help you out.
