So they increased the prices but still show no stock!!!

It goes through the queue program that has been running for months. The cards won’t show in stock because the auto notify is working like it should.

Class move by EVGA for honoring the price, even if only for a few months.

I hope you're joking. They are grandfathering us in by choice. They don't have to.

they drop cards like they have been, but after the date is when the bigger drops start happening... this price increase is not all tariffs, its price increase masked by the tariffs...

Just so you know. I did not post this to sound negative. Anybody who knows what is going on already knew it was going to happen.  EVGA did not have to grandfather in the current notify list. Now if the deadline shows up and then suddenly we notifications start pouring in, then we can raise an eyebrow.
 
I do wonder about the cutoff date. Is there a reasoning behind that choice? There must be some factor that would make them actually set a date for those who were already in line before the announcment.

I gave up hope trying to snag a card off Newegg and signed up for the notify through EVGA 2 weeks ago.  I pray I get a card before April. 

I honestly am surprised that the increase wasn't bigger. $70 on a $2000 card is a drop in the bucket, really.

 Yeah, right on the product pages. Looks like $70-90 is the markup for all the 3080's. Including the hydrocoppers. Hopefully the tariffs will soon be rescinded.... major kudos to EVGA for honoring the original price for people on the notify list, gotta say.

They have completely failed to get out of the first week of people on the list for 3080's alone. Being drip fed one or two cards a week isn't an attempt to fulfill anything. I got on the list October 8th. I will never see that card by April of this year. I will never see that card this year. That list will never be fulfilled in 2021. Because they are only interested in shipping to companies like bestbuy and amazon to let them sell to the scalpers so they don't have to deal with the bots. All while in the middle of an ongoing pandemic.
 
First the scalpers bot's blip us over. Then the Scalpers blip us over. Then the retailers don't do anything at all to actually prevent scalpers other than a list all while also allowing scalpers on the list. Now for being on a list and being patient but annoyed. We get blipped over.
 
Today, I expect Nvidia will be showing off the next big line up of the 3k series. So the scalpers can continue to win and win and we the actual customers just keep losing even more. We won't just be paying the price hike once. No, we are going to get raked through the coals to buy a video card from a scalper because they are the only ones generally able to buy stock regularly.

EVGA won't hold back stock but they won't have to hold it back. If the 3080 TI gets announced today, how many people are going to stay on the 3080 list and not jump to the 3080 TI list??

The EVGA price increases isn't so bad, the 3090 FTW3 Ultra went up $70; I picked up an Asus 3090 OC last week for another build, this week it's up $180!

Why is an $1800 card price increase basically the same as a $800 card? Seems like a much larger increase on the 3080 side then the 3090 for a product that cost at least double MSRP.

I was gonna try and get a 3000 series card but I'm thinking to just skip this gen since stock is so hit and miss at times. Might just add a water block to my 2080TI FTW3 card and call it a day since this card hits high clocks as it is
