To Fix an Install.
Remove NVIDIA Drivers Reboot
Using the Registry Editor I delete:
Win7
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\Video

Win10
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video

Nice Changes but make sure you remove the Old Version and restart your PC before you install the new version.

Lol. I did get it installed but since I have a lowly SC2 I didn't notice a difference, it worked just like the last version.

    Yep!
I bet 6.1.5 was ready but without Ti FTW3 Support so they waited until 6.1.6 was ready.

Minor bug still exist. When you set the fan profile to "aggressive" the name wont stay and says "custom" This has been on going for several releases now.

I am still receiving issues of the OSD font not saving size and not registering the speed on the G19 keyboard, but I have yet to adjust certain things so this could fix soon. Still receiving a weird crash when clicking the color for backplate LED, but the RGB is finally registering colors correctly. So, so far, things look good. The only complaint I have is the stock auto fan speed curve system that needs to be tweaked as MSI Afterburner is managing fan speeds a lot better than Precision XOC

Ok, so i just installed my FTW3, it was working great until i installed XOC. Now my power and memory LED's are constantly red and i'm not even getting a temp reading for those in XOC. Also, i cannot get my fans to work correctly now matter how i set the curve. They're either wide open or not running. (I'm guessing it's because i'm not getting power reading??) I left them at default and ran bench marked with Time Spy and none of the fans kicked on. GPU was way over what it should have been to kick the fans on.

For now, i'm going to manually set them to run so i don't over heat anything. But has anyone else run into this yet?? i know it's just the first round of these cards getting out so probably not, but i'm crossing my fingers. I mean, this is a super BA card, but man, to have it acting wonky like this from the software... meh.

Oh, also, if i try to manually set the LED color of the power or memory LED, XOC immediately crashes. Every time :/

    Give this a try;
Remove XOC  Delete Folders and remove NVIDIA Divers
    Reboot PC
    Run DDU in Save Mode
    Reboot PC
    Using the Registry Editor Delete:
    Win7
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Control\Video
    Ignore the Errors

    Win10
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Video
    Ignore the Error
    Reboot PC

    Install New Graphics Drivers
    Reboot PC
    Then install XOC.

I've just installed EVGA Precision XOC v6.16 from v6.13 and when I opened it there was a message about closing 3D applications to update fans/firmwares or something. I closed Edge then a window popped up saying Updated OK.

What did that mean? Has Precision updated the firmware or fans on my GTX 1080 Ti SC2?

The only reason I am asking is that I have never seen this message before.

That when you install software you need to have all other applications Closed.
Some even need you to disable your Virus Software.

Well I'm not impressed with v6.1.6 so far as it has crashed about five times just navigating the menus!

The two fans are now shown in the main window, which is a nice improvement over v6.1.3, but while checking out the changes I noticed an additional LED option for the backplate alongside the one for the logo. However, the pulldown doesn't do anything (it appears blank) and clicking on the white square to the right, presumably the colour change option, crashes the program every time. Is this option meant for the FTW3? If so then why is showing for the SC2?

Much as I would love to use EVGA software with my EVGA graphics card, this software is simply too unstable and finicky to use on my system. Not only that but the tiny fonts for the menus make it hard to read on my 25" 2560x1440 display, the menus are poorly laid out and the on-screen display options are lacking compared with MSI Afterburner. I cannot tweak the OSD to, say, show all the temperatures on one line and there's only one for the fan speed despite the fact my card has two fans (there is a separate fan and power tachometer though). It's a crying shame that Unwinder stopped developing EVGA Precision because I personally think the software would be much better if he was.

Sorry EVGA but I think I will be sticking with MSI Afterburner for the time being and just leave fan control on auto (since Afterburner only shows one). If I need to check the sensor temperatures then I can just have a quick glance at my card's LEDs through the case window.

Afterburner and RTSS have so many more features and flexibility than Precision.

It's a pain that I can't do custom 3 fan profiles with Afterburner but the other benefits seem to outweigh the downsides.

It would seem that GPU % is one of the most important things to show.  Why would using "K" mode be any different?  It is like a benchmark program not working when you overclock your processor.

Due to the way the k-boost feature is programmed it messes up the nvapi readings when enabled. If you want to see your gpu usage while having your gpu forced to max performance I'd recommend using the lock feature on the voltage/frequency curve editor inside msi afterburner as it's basically the same thing as k-boost.

You can read more about the lock feature here.

It's a pain that I can't do custom 3 fan profiles with Afterburner but the other benefits seem to outweigh the downsides.

I *want* to like EVGA Precision XOC, I really do, as it has features available in it - the dual fan control, the LED options, etc - that MSI Afterburner doesn't. However, every time I use it I end up getting frustrated at its poorly laid out menus, its hard-to-read teensy-tiny fonts, its cumbersome and lacking OSD options and the fact that it seems incredibly prone to crashing on my system (especially if I click the backplate LED colour option...).

I've decided to give up on it for now and stick with Afterburner. I will keep checking out the updates to Precision XOC though in the hope that the software will mature into something as user-friendly, well-laid out and stable as Afterburner.

Does anyone know if setting a custom profile in Afterburner applies it to both fans on the SC2 or is it only applied to the GPU fan?

As far as I have found the custom fan profile in AB will only run the GPU fan, the power fan will run on its own and the power LEDs stay blue.

When I had the 1080 SC2 ICX, I wondered the same thing...so I chatted with Unwinder, the author of Afterburner.  The fan curve of AB only applies to the GPU fan...so the Power fan is dependent upon the card's bios.  Unwinder will NOT add asynchronous fan control unless other companies (especially MSI) adopt the technology as well.  So right now...the SC2 or FTW2 or FTW 3 versions of cards are solely dependent upon Precision.  See here:  http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=412844

No real need to Remove the Graphics Card
That is you can skip Step 3: Remove card from PC and power on PC without card and delete the NVIDIA folder in C/:: Drive

I don't know if this is the right place to report this, but I've been having this issue since v6.1.2 of EVGA PrecisionX OC: if I start a game and OSD turned off, and then toggle it using a key, it works, but as soon as I turn it off with the toggle key the game crashes. This happens with all games, and yes, I've tested v6.1.6 as well but it keeps crashing when I try to turn off the OSD while inside a game.

For now, I'm rolling back to v6.0.9, that one works ok.

    FYI:
    I'm using EVGA GeForce GTX 980 Ti Superclocked+ ACX 2.0+ 6GB Edition.
    I'm using Windows 7 64-bits.
