i need support for more GPU's... 4 is not enough.

in all seriousness, will there ever be a point that more than 4 GPU's will be supported?

I brought this up in 2014/2015 because I had issues with the 5th & 6th GPU installed on one of my rigs.
Never did here anything back. If you think 4-Way SLI or 4 Cards is it, anything after that you are not a norm and you well have to write your own program to support more then 4 Cards. Soon it may only be 2 Cards!

It would be nice if they would support x number of GPU's.  Is it even possible to control EVGA cards with MSI software?  I still have time left to send all 5 of my evga 1080Ti sc cards back for MSI cards if not possible.

Yes, as long as you have an evga card that doesn't have icx technology.

And what about customers with EVGA GTX 1080 Ti FTW 3? It have ICX technology and have six cards in rig. How I can control them since Precisions is limited to 4 GPUs? Can be it unlocked in next release? Thanks

Im requesting as customer set higher limit best will be for 6 cards or make it limited to 8 cards like drivers are.

I ordered 6x GTX 1080 Ti FTW 3 cards and cannot run precision since its limited to 4 cards.

Is there someone else how control fans with ICX technology and without Precision? Thanks.

[SOLVED] Precision XOC 6.1.8 messed up with my 6 GPU mining rig?
Being that 4-Way SLI was the highest NVIDIA ever supported and now only 2-Way SLI no need to change the Software.
I have heard that the Beta version of MSI AB works.

MSI Afterburner doesn't allow you to control all three fans on the FTW3.

Some members that have post that the Beta can is incorrect then.

The beta can only read the 9 extra sensors.

Is it also safe to say that MSI AB also really is not Supporting the LED as well?
I know that you use MSI AB and not PXOC.

Not sure about the LED support.

Can confirm MSI AB Beta doesnt support FTW 3 Fans. Just GPU fan can be regulated and I can do this also over nVidia Inspector. At least some utility which will force all three fans run on same speed a t least on 60%.

Being a Miner you should just put on a Water Block with a Custom Water Loop or install Hybrid Coolers on them.

As regular customer I will not broke warranty when these parts can be sold later. Can u imagine wholen. cooling system system with 6 cards which are in rig? I really cant since I designed it for regular cooling which offered me EVGA. And I have right ask for support for their products.

Water block pump and other parts are extra moneys which we can count about another 150 USD per card. So after one year I can ask for card 300 USD plus 100 USD for water cooler? I will be not able sold it out. This is not way.

Limits 4 gpus is outdated these days. Today is mining time. Like other companies started offer mining cards without vga outputs... And pascal architecture allow only two cards in SLI. So that limit should be considered. Thanks for reading.

Re: EVGA Precision 4 GPU limit 2017/07/20 15:22:03 (permalink)
Definitelly u havent idea how crypto worlds works. GPU mining is more variable and customisable like some ASIC devices. Which cost more moneys, more power. GPU is more universal u can mine, watching, compressing or playing games.

Thats your decision if you will buy already used graphics card. U cannot have idea for what was that card originally used. Im sure from 100 people that 5 persons will buy it. Look on today prices in markets for new graphics cards. Look on ebay...

Mining bitcoin? Today? Why Asus started offering mining cards? Why nvidia offered GTX 1060 with faster memory ? Why Amd have cards are out of stock? Its all about bussines. These companies know it.

And we are running out off topic. I dont want have from this mining thread. Im asking EVGA staff if can be changed gpu limits in their own software and I can finally fully use their products. If not I can still use auto fan control but Im sure that cards I will return to seller in next 6 months with burned pwr module. Like old story with GTX 1080 cards due bad cooler or heatsink.

And Im asking EVGA community if someone find some solution or another 3rd part software which can regulate fan speeds on ICX cards.

ASIC devices and water or customised coolers arent solutions. So back to topic and thanks for input. Good night.

THe best fix is to buy MSI cards like the MSI seahawk and use afterburner to control card features.

meanwhile, ill just burn my 6 1080ti's and use the 3 year warranty if something breaks.

You are so salty it's hilarious, just thought I'd post and let you know

Also EVGA not supporting larger setups for mining is only going to hurt their own bottom line, and their customers that thought they were buying a good product for mining.

    Not Needed

The software has to interact with the proprietary components of EVGA's cards, MSI Afterburner can do most things(and better than precision rofl) but their RGB lighting and secondary fan can't be controlled unless using their own software, it's pretty surprising they've shown no support here.
