Lardman678Not sure what the "fan link issue" is referring to, but can confirm that this did not seem to fix the ramping issue of fans on 3080/3090 FTW3 Hybrid conversion kits. Fans still ramp to max under load even though temps are low. Worth noting that this version update did not push a firmware update to my card.

z999z3mystorysI have the pre-installed 3080 ftw3 ultra hybrid, and haven't had any problems with odd fan speeds, is this a problem only for the kits/conversion?
slapni'm currently on 1.1.6 on a xc3 3080 ultra but i am installing a ftw3 3090 ultra later to day .Is it recommened to delete the software before i change to the new card and reinstall it ?

Precision reports FTW3 Ultra Hybrid. Everything works normally except RPM from Fan 1 randomly spikes extremely high (some times as high as 20000 rpm), causing fan ramping. I don't know if this is placebo, but I wanted to check the physical connectors before I cried wolf, and noticed that the fan connectors are kind of not great and don't mate properly to the leads from the pump. I grabbed a twist tie and snugged down on the connectors, and it seems to have "helped"? Instead of spiking to 20000 it only spikes to maybe 3000? It's possible that before, the 4pin master fan lead was loose and was causing faulty PWM signals? Still seems to spike, but not as often and not as high. Maybe a PWM controller issue? Or really just a bad connector? Edit: Tested a little more, was definitely placebo. Returned to spiking as before under load and when temps got slightly warm.
