Hey EVGA, your buggy software crashed my system for the last time! I am not happy! I sat down after a long hard day of working and was hungry and went out to the store and got stuff to make dinner and came back home and cooked it and sat down to eat it and enjoy my hot meal after a long hard day and I just wanted to relax and sit down and watch a show while I ate my dinner All to find that at the end of the long hard day and wanting to eat dinner and relax my computer that was previously working perfectly fine would no longer boot up properly! I was not in the mood to troubleshoot my computer at the time! I wanted to eat my food and watch something on YouTube and relax! I could tell that the problems seemed to occur as soon as Precision X1 would launch every time so I could kinda tell it was the culprit just by noticing the startup process and where it seemed to fail. I can also just tell that the Precision X1 software is just kinda buggy in general, noticing how long it takes to launch and open properly and also noticing at times that it would not open at all and having to reboot or reinstall it to get it to open properly in the past. I was able to successfully uninstall the EVGA Precision X1 version 1.1.0.11 and remove all settings before it launched at startup however afterwards the application was oddly still trying to launch at startup and crash my system. I read the workarounds on the forums and tried them out and could boot it into safemode without issues and whatnot but was having a hard time and at the time wasn't very patient for the issue at the time so I resorted to the nuclear option ok using Windows recovery to reinstall windows but keep my existing data and went and reinstalled the OS since most my games are all stored on a large separate drive from my OS. This whole experience in the late-night hours was IRRITATING AND I AM STILL PISSED! I can see that it was possibly a conflict now with Nvidia's latest driver so it's not necessarily EVGA's fault per say and to there defense I was relieved to see today they have a new version out to correct the issue which I will say is pretty damn fast considering the problem. When I built my first gaming computer I listened to a co-worker and went with a MSI motherboard and it failed after about a year and a half of use for me. I eventually went with an ASUS motherboard and consider ASUS the best in the industry as far as motherboards go... anyways... I developed a fairly negative opinion on MSI in general after my experience with there products after that however I came to find that most people prefer using MSI's software, particularly MSI Afterburner This software seems to be extremely popular and I have heard nothing but good about it in all my days. It is this reason that I am opting to this time give MSI another chance to redeem themselves. Perhaps MSI does not make the best hardware... but at least they make the best or some of the best software. I'm going to give MSI another chance here and go with MSI's afterburner software instead of downloading and installing EVGA's latest version of the Precision X1 software version 1.1.1

Well it is more specifically the previous version is the version that I had experienced the crashing at startup with which was version 1.1.0.11 released on 10/16/2020. The very latest version 1.1.1 recently released on 11/6/20 is supposed to have resolved the issue however I have not tried it and after spending much time reconstructing my gaming computers entire OS and software configuration and downloading nearly half my massive game library back I am reluctant to try any more editions of EVGA's Precision X1 software. I'm gonna try MSI Afterburner instead, I'll let you know if it causes me any issues. I had installed version 1.1.0.11 on 10/25/20 and it didn't have any problems causing crashing at startup till late at night on 11/5/20 which I am speculating was possibly after I installed the latest Graphics card update version 457.09 released from Nvidia through Nvidia's GeForce experience software which was released on 10/29/20 however the problem with that theory was that I'm pretty sure I rebooted right after if completed installation to finalize it and the computer should have then crashed at startup at that time. I'm also fairly positive I rebooted the computer several times between when I installed version 1.1.0.11 of EVGA's Precision X1 software on 10-25-20 & 11-5-20. It came about at a time where I had not really made any new system changes of even software changes which made it a bit harder to troubleshoot as well prior to the issue occurring. So unless it was an automatic windows update that processed I was kind of at a loss of what changes I could un-do to resolve the issue. I started testing my PSU thinking some of my older hardware was finally starting to show it's age but everything was fine. What's hella weird about this issue all off a sudden starting was I had shut my computer down and everything was fine I had watched a bit of Razer's recent presentation on YouTube and shut my computer down to go to the store and it started this at startup after I came back to it and had made no changes to it prior and get back to it and it started all this nonsense crashing hard at startup and it was also a Bluescreen that would Freeze and never actually restart you had to hard power off your system after it occurred because it would try to surge out your system and the Motherboards Watchguard service had to get involved to protect the system from further electrical surge damage and shut things down. When the error started to occur I also started to realize that it could be related to setting of having the software check for updates at startup and I found some related forum posts mentioning that as a problem as well however my software was not set to check for updates at startup. The forum went on to say that if EVGA's update server was not available or if it was overloaded and could not be reached when the application checked for the update at startup then it would freak out and cause the system to crash as well, This seemed to explain the randomness of this error occurring without any other system changes being made however this doesn't really make sense since I could see the EVGA Precision X1 software was not set to check for updates at startup. I also noticed at the time the problem started occurring that my computer would sometimes crash when the Razer synapse software would go to load however it was mostly when X1 Precision would launch more of the time, so I speculate there may have also been a potential conflict with EVGA's Precision X1 software and the Razer Synapse software possible as well. I'm not exactly sure and like I mentioned I didn't at the time have the time or patience to care I just wanted my computer working again when I woke up in the morning so I could help any customers if needed and having the peace of mind knowing my computer could boot up properly before I went to bed even if it meant reinstalling the OS and having to do a bunch of stuff over.

Just a heads up, today Nvidia just released its latest driver update. GEFORCE GAME READY DRIVER Driver Version: 457.30 - Release Date: Mon Nov 09, 2020 I'm not sure or aware if this driver update will cause any known conflicts yet with the latest Precision X1 software version 1.1.1 however hopefully it doesn't. I won't know anytime soon myself however as I have been now been using MSI's Afterburner software and it got my graphics cards fans working on the automatic setting quickly and easily after a quick and easy installation and I have been gaming with it since and so far without issues. I'll keep you posted if there are any issues with using the MSI afterburner software since I made the change.

Good day, I think I encounter bug here. It actually started for me on version 457.09 and it still persists. When I set Max Frame Rate at 141 FPS (because I have 144 Hz G-Sync Monitor), everything works as intended, Nvidia Drivers limit FPS in game. However, when I turn PC off or I restart it, the above mentioned setting resets itself to off (like default setting). I never had such problem from time this setting was invented. I think the drivers are not saving this setting properly. Please, it will be good if you can fix that. Thank you. EDIT: I use EVGA RTX 2080 Ti XC Ultra Gaming + Asus ROG PG279Q G-Sync Monitor. EDIT 2: Ok, definitely a bug here. Re-rolled back to version 456.71 and I encounter no resetting or whatever. This nasty bug started from version 457.09 and persist in new version. Please don't go road like AMD with their drivers, why break something what it's not broken at all? EDIT3: Ok, problem solved. This ''bug'' is in fact related to EVGA GPUs. Problem is with new Precision X1 v. 1.1.1. When you try to set FPS limiter within drivers (lets say 141 FPS) and set FPS limiter in Precision X1 v. 1.1.1 to off, after reboot/login off, your value in drivers will be off as well. In short, if you want use FPS limiter with EVGA GPU and with Precision X1 v. 1.1.1 installed, you need set FPS limiter in that program as well or it will not work, that value will reset every time you will go reset/log off from your PC as mentioned above. If you set any value in Precision X1 v. 1.1.1 and previously setting in drivers will be off, after reboot in drivers your value will be exactly same like in Precision X1 v. 1.1.1. So right now it seems, that Precision X1 v. 1.1.1 is superior to Nvidia Game Drivers in term of setting Max Frame Rate, which is funny. I am not kidding, try it yourself. I know that EVGA recently had some problem with fans on their GPUs with new drivers and Precision X1 program, but, that it is broken in this way, it is really unbelievable...

Hi all. Tried installing the latest nvidia drivers, the .09 release for a few days ago. Uninstalling and reinstalling the last two versions of PX. I have fan control back but nothing is saved. After every reboot I need to go back in and redo everything from scratch. Any ideas?

Wondering if the VF Curve Tuner is actually broken or not. Customizing the VF curve and applying does nothing and it reverts back to how it was. I've tried just applying, saving in a profile and loading the profile, applying and restarting PX1 and nothing works. I've also updated and clean-installed drivers previously and updated PX1 twice. Had the same issue in 1.1.0.9 and 1.1.0.11. Feature worked fine with 1.0.6 and a 2080 FTW3 (had it undervolted with the PX1 VF curve). I'm currently using a 3080 FTW3 with BIOS version 94.02.26.48.88 (450W OC BIOS), 457.30 drivers and PX1 1.1.1. I've tried looking through the forums and there's a few threads describing bugs with the OC Scanner (was broken for me in 1.1.0.9; haven't tried it since) and similar bugs with the VF Curve, but I haven't seen any confirmation of it actually being broken or not. I know people are using Afterburner for undervolting as it seems the VF Curve is actually working there, but I'd like to know if this is a PX1 issue or just something on my end. Thanks.

I have a few questions: - Is this the latest version we should be running for 3090s
- When I do the autoscan, I get +145 for gpu and +200 for mem. I've seen people run +150 gpu and +1000 on mem. Doesn't the +200 seem low?
- In the past, Precision X1 only provided the gpu oc. Do we just enter in the mem oc as we did gpu oc?
- How do I know that I've applied a scanned curve? The load/apply/save with the purple/blue boxes don't make a lot sense when trying to know what setting you've applied.

I have a 3090 FTW3, voltage control DOES NOT WORK, at all. Not just the voltage slider, but setting a custom voltage curve doesn’t work. I’ve done it dozens of times, so yeah, I’m doing it correctly. I need that to work, so fix it please. And how about making it so we can move through to voltage points, on the voltage curve screen, using the arrow keys on the keyboard? I’ve suggested it before and of course was ignored, and I submitted it through the proper channels. It seems kinda obvious to me since moving those sliders is nigh on impossible with a mouse. I have to set my DPI to like 500 to do it with any accuracy.

Anyone have issues getting the OC Scanner to complete in the new release of precision? I usually use it after modifying the system to get a baseline and go up from there but at 80 percent it locks the computer up and then the screen goes blank and freezes the system. Have to hard shut it down and restart it. I know its the new software because after trying everything..DDU clean complete reinstall of Nvidia drivers. Removing MSI Afterburner which I use for the OSD in games because precision doesn't ever want to display them even factory resetting to right before I installed it and reinstalling it and nothing. So I got an idea to uninstall the current version and reinstall the previous and poof it works. FT3 Ultra 3090 is the GPU I have.
