Finally stable on a new release!  1.0.2.0 seems to work great for me.

No more issues with the radiator fan stopping until the GPU hits 80'C then kicking back on to cool like I saw in previous versions.

Why is your gpu hitting 80? I have a 2080ti xc ultra that never gets about 73c. You must have a hot case.

It was an issue with X1.  I was fine on 0.4.4.0 but every update since would cause my fans to stop spinning until the GPU hit 80'C.  The latest 1.0.2.0 runs great and my GPU stays in the 60s during load.

When I make a custom fan profile in X1 it works fine but when I reboot my PC the fan is stuck at its lowest setting in the profile, for example I raised the default 33% fan speed to 45% and after rebooting it's stuck at 45% even when under load which causes the card to run hot / hit temp target, I can of course fix this by loading X1 or telling it to load with Windows but I just wanted to report this in case its an actual bug? Seems like if X1 isnt loaded with a reboot the fan should still at least behave properly and not be stuck at fixed RPM.

Edit: forgot to clarify I had "Apply previous settings on load" checked but did not have Start with OS checked. (I do now).

Custom fan curves will not apply until PX1 is running.

Delete the user.cfg file located in the\Users\User name\AppData\Local\EVGA_Co.,_Ltd\PrecisionX_x64.exe folder..That's where all your PX1 profiles/settings/fan curves are saved..The user.cfg file will be recreated and reset PX1 to all default settings the next time PX1 runs..Then begin again.

The user.cfg file is in a normally hidden folder, so you'll need to set the Windows Folder View options to Show hidden files, folders, and drives.

Don't enable Apply previous settings on load for now..And yes, PX1 needs to be running for fan curves to work like d.burnette said.

The little fan icon to the left of the slider needs to be blue..If it's off/not blue, then that means the fan is set to run at a fixed manual speed.

Need to bring back GPU Core speed and ram usage back to the overlay, as well as display CPU temps. <3

Except for System RAM usage, those are there under the numbers near the top of the HWM if you click them and can be selected to be shown in the OSD in the graphs below..No?

As noted in countless other threads I'm seeing absurd CPU usage from both Precision X1 1.0.2.0 as well as LED Sync.  Both float between 2-6% each on a 3900x with OSD, HWM & Boost Lock off.  Using with a fresh Win 10 Pro x64 1909 (10.0.18363.535) & SLI 1080 Ti FTW3s (11G-P4-6696-KR).  This has been an ongoing problem with multiple systems.  I would just use Precision X1 but it's unable to control the backplate evga LED logo and regardless even by itself the usage is insane.  Additionally the backplate color always changes slightly before the rest of the LEDs.

This was first reported years ago by hundreds of people and yet still no fix.  Absolutely unequivocally unacceptable.

Re: EVGA Precision X1 1.0.2.0 2020/01/08 13:03:22 (permalink)
EDIT: Quitting PX1 with boost lock enabled, saved as such, and re-launching seems to keep boost lock active on subsequent launches. I'm not sure if this reflects intended behavior, but regardless, Problem Solved - and boost lock is great!

The 1.0.2.0 release seems pretty stable on my system so far, in regards to any functionality that was already included prior. However, I did encounter the installer error which at least one other user reported - the installer hangs on "Extract: PrecisionXServer.exe", then displays a windows error message, as follows:
"Error opening file for writing:
C:\Program Files\EVGA\Precision X1\PrecisionXServerHooks.dll
Click abort to stop the installation, Retry to try again, or Ignore to skip this file."

I did indeed restart after successful uninstall. After attempting to install the older version that I previously had, I also experienced this error, so I proceeded to attempt to install every version still available from EVGA directly, working from newest to oldest, but the error remains.. so at this point I'm thinking this particular error may be a local issue, contingent on user-specific variable or condition on PC. Regardless, against my own judgement, I selected to "ignore" the error. The software installs successfully, and all familiar functionality remains in-place. To date, today is the first time I have ever seen this error when performing PX1 installation.

My only issue as of right now, lies within the "Boost Lock" Feature - Boost lock seems to keep locked for about one minute, then drops to idle-esque frequencies. Once the frequencies drop, they never return past light-use figures even under aggressive load. I'm considering the possibility that I simply don't understand how this feature is supposed to function, but just wanted to check with other users to see if I am seeing expected results.

What are your full system Hardware specs, top-to-bottom? I'm not running too elaborate of a system by any means (as shown in my signature), but the highest CPU usage I've seen PX1 claim is 0.3%, and typically this figure sits at 0% - 0.1% when idle.. This data is sampled while utilizing HWM and Boost Lock simultaneous, along with utilization of many other PX1 features. I truthfully find these low figures fairly surprising, I initially expected to see much higher figures when comparing our results.

having trouble with x1 starting with OS. I can't check out "start with OS" & "Start minimized". Once I check those 2 off and click on Apply, my app crashes and I need to restart it, with those 2 setting still staying off...

OSD still not working with multiple games. Target slider still doesn't stay unlinked. Profiles still don't save. Come on.

Having an issue with the newest version.
I strictly use the voltage table to run my card, It seems if I set the voltage table up to my liking, apply it then I go to the fan slider and adjust the fan then it reverts all my voltage table settings after I apply the fan adjustment.

Is this a known issue or do you guys know about it?
