The best would be for personal preferences. They are both made by the same person, with Afterburner having more features. I use those features in Afterburner, so that's what I use. I also like the visual layout of Afterburner better too.

My understanding is with MSI Afterburner you can adjust the GPU voltages, with Precision you can't.  (Yet) If your overclocking the GPU I'd probably go with MSI.

I only choose afterburner because of voltage.

I chose afterburner for the voltage control, but i really like the GTX 580 skin for Precision.

Are there custom skins for Afterburner?

I chose Afterburner for GPU voltages, too.

Afterburner is just more functional due to voltage tweak.  Still not sure why EVGA has not implemented voltage tweaking in Precision.  It is just not very functional to use Precision for GPU speed, but have to have Eleet running in the background first and Eleet does not start with Windows!  Or did I miss something?

I like Precision because it works very well for what I want to do, and that is to be able to have full auto control of my fan speed when windows starts. I also like how simple it is to use and it works great for my moderate overclocks, as I don't mess around with my voltages.

Afterburner is the same thing but with the addition of a different skin and GPU voltage tuning.

+1 Precision. It starts with windows, applies my Clock/Fan profiles, gives me OSD of temp/%usage - whats not to like?

I suppose if I wanted to tweak voltages I'd use Afterburner. The Evga add on does all I need. (single vendor solution)

Afterburner.  For those who adjust voltages (doesn't everyone;) it's the only way to go.  If and when Precision adds that to their program, I will use it.

Try clicking the information button (i).  I remember that you can access your other cards but they're hidden somewhere.  You don't like the pink font in Afterburner?

It's also kind of funny how MSI's program shares a name with an EVGA forum moderator.

Unfortunatly Afterburner has exclusivity for voltage tuning. We are working on an alternate way to implement however.

Just for the voltage feature on my overclocking I prefer it. Having to use two programs to over clock a video card as compared to one is why I think afterburner is better.

So they have the rights to Riva-tuner?  I encourage any competition between companies for programs to make OC easier.  I don't like the idea of them having sole control over that.
