Helo,

I have a EVGA P67 SLI Micro with a i7-3770, I believe the bios was upgraded R22 and now think the bios is corrupt or reverted to the original which will not support the i7-3770 so the PC will not boot it gives the error code of C on the Post led I did try a second i7-3770 with the same result. Also I have tested the power supply and it is fine. Do I need to buy a Sandy Bridge i7 2700K to get it to boot with one of the two on board bios or is there another way to update the EVGA P67 SLI Micro with a i7-3770 installed?

Thank you!

If one of your bios is corrupt you could switch to the other bios by moving the bios select jumper to the other position. https://www.evga.com/support/manuals/files/130-SB-E675.pdf (Page 13, Number 23)

Would be best to use a Core i3 2100 to reflash as it's most likely supported by all bios revisions.

I did try the second bios and had with the same result. I am wondering if only the primary was flashed and the second bios is still the original version?

    Thank you.

Most likely, each has to be flashed. Most people, if you got this used, will usually flash only one or two, some boards come with up to 3 bios file options with the selector switch, of the bios and then leave a original bios on the last so its bootable just in case. The R bios files were made for the Ivy chips when they were introduced, but they have some bugs, especially with Sandy chips. They also dont hold overclocks and ram timings very well either. Error code of C i have no idea what that is. Did you clear cmos and setup the bare min of parts out of the case to start?

I did the clear the cmos and try the minimum. the c code info came from evga:

    EVGA Motherboard POST Code Search
    Code:C
    Info:C - CPU Error
Detail:C indicates an issue with the CPU. This can be caused by a defective CPU, out of spec Power Supply, Bent CPU socket pins, CPU incompatible with BIOS version or defective Motherboard
