I recently purchased this new sound card but no matter what I do the drivers do not work. I've removed all previous drivers reinstalled the NU audio card countless times still not working. I keep receiving an error message EVGA NU Audio Card : Speaker runtime error ! SPDIF Runtime error ! Mic Runtime error ! Line in runtime error !. I can confirm that the card is receiving power because I see the lights pulsating. The sata connector is plugged directly into my power supply. I've tried to install the drivers while logged into my Admin account + while logged in as admin I right click and ran as admin anyways. Still no luck.  Even after the install no interfaces appear in the sound options. I've looked through countless threads nothing has helped up to this point.

Please advise.

Your OS is Windows 7 x64 with SP1?
You should be logged on as your Normal Account and the Right Click on the Install File and select Run as administrator.
And Keep the Default Setup Settings?

Okay so I should not install while logged into my admin account. I can try logging in as my standard and running as admin.

Would not hurt to give it a go, this is how I install Software and Drivers.

And the Realtek HD Audio Drivers (And Software) are uninstalled? (Before you disabled it in the Bios)

That is an old Bios BIOS: BIOS Date: 06/24/16 10:58:30 Ver: 05.0000B (Last Bios F23j 5.58 MB 2018/03/09)
Though I have never seen a Bios cause issues with a Sound Card before, but this is new times.

Remember to save your Current Settings Before you do. (Write them Down or snap images of the Settings)
And Reset the BIOS Back to the Default Settings BEFORE you update it.

I got sick and tired of playing with this thing. I went ahead and upgraded to Windows 10 I planned on doing it later this year before Microsoft stops support for Windows 7 in January 2020. This just pushed me to do it sooner, I can confirm that the Windows 7 drivers are corrupt and do not work. Once I upgraded to 10 my system had no problems installing the drivers.
Thanks again for all your help! :)

Just came across this thread (too late, lol)... but for anyone else having trouble getting this working in Windows 7:

As seen in the screenshots, the missing driver is for a USB Controller located on the PCI bus, so what's needed is a Windows 7 driver for the ASMedia ASM1042A (because Win7 lacks native USB 3.0 support).

I don't see the ASMedia driver included in EVGA's driver package, so it seems to be an oversight on their part. You could try to find the appropriate driver on the Internet, or better yet wait for EVGA to provide an official one.

Re: EVGA Nu Audio Drivers for Windows 7 are not working. 2019/02/06 19:38:40 (permalink)
Thanks Jill, or upgrading is always option for a least case scenario. By the way is their an issue with recording in 32 bit ? I tried to record via the line out port 32-bit 384000 within Soundforge 13 but it says it does not support this interface. I am using the NU audio ASIO driver to do this.
