clo007 Forget the membership concept, go to a loyalty concept ie. airline miles or rewards programs. The more you buy, the more points you build up that can be traded in for eVGA bucks for purchases. If you buy direct from eVGA, you get more points from your purchase vs going to a 3rd party vendor. Through the lifetime you purchase items, you can get to a new level. The higher the level, the better the rewards.
This isn't Cabela's. How often would you truly end up buying something from the EVGA store? My self, on average, every two years if I'm lucky. I upgrade everything every 5 years or so. That's just Mobo, 2 GPUs, and RAM if needed. Those who buy every single release it's still 1-3 big ticket items a year. Those points would have to be large and quick to hit platinum say after 20 or so high dollar items. So let's say after 5 years and $5k you hit platinum. That's $1k a year. Easy for some, other would take twice as long for others. That's two high end GPU's a year, or a GPU and mobo. Now, if EVGA started selling Intel CPUs, high end case fan replacements, (that keyboard wherever it's at), a handful of popular monitors, so it can be a one stop shop, sure sounds fine. But stocking all of that, for a small community, just is not really financially feasible when you have Amazon and NewEgg to compete with. It sounds good, till you actually think about it. (Honestly have no idea how any of that stuff truly actually works. Just made it up as I went. Rereading it, actually sounds like nonsense.)

- EVGA EAR on any replacement products?
- Improved/increased stepup terms?
Any other thoughts on this?
a price discount for only 90 days would be great. we already have the best c/s in the b/s.

I feel like great customer service shouldn't come at a premium. It should be something you expect to be included in the price you pay, at least that's something I expect from EVGA. Merchandise, exclusive offers and discounts are great idea though.

I'd like to start out slow on the perks keeping just the bare necessities in mind, such as one week per year access to the EVGA Mansion in Beverly Hills, Party priveleges on the EVGA yacht, and of course we all get keys to the Executive Washroom.

I honestly don't know how it would work out really, I don't see them pushing much volume per customer. They don't really sell anything that's a frequent purchase, or anything like that. It works for Amazon because they have a wide variety of products, so there are a lot of potential purchases, making it well worth while for both the customer and Amazon themselves. As others have stated, it's a couple things every year or two for the average customer I would imagine. The more fervent EVGA fans could probably get a good handful of items a year. Maybe there is a way to do this so it's beneficial to both parties and fits what they sell. Then again, maybe it's not for me, I only really have interest in their graphics cards and power supplies (which are among the best in the industry IMO), and it's not like I buy those constantly.

Was looking for a place to post new product ideas for EVGA and came across this post. EVGA is already offering free membership to anyone who joins forum so can't see the purpose of this. Like other people have said your product line is just to narrow. A pay membership makes sense for Newegg or Amazon because they carry thousands of PC parts but makes no sense for EVGA. Would like to see EVGA offer MADE IN AMERICA custom cable sets made to order, liquid fittings and lighting to name a few. I can't understand why you are not selling combs? They are made with a simple 3D printer you can buy at Home Depot. Take CCFL lighting as an example, I bought an inverter this week and it broke 3 ways out of the package. Took it out of the bag and the case breaks in two. Plugged it in and the circuit board pops out. Unplug the circuit board and wire pulls out of the harness. Too much garbage being sold for PC modding that EVGA could do such a better job re-engineering. Would like to see EVGA buy Frozen CPU or Bitspower just to extend its reach inside the enthusiast market. Your not a charity you need to look at your bottom line. EK brand is cannibalizing your market and taking huge dollars away from EVGA. They make more money selling a block than EVGA does making a GPU. EVGA should rethink and reinvent many 5.25 drive bay accessories. Fan controls, Volt meters, temperature gauges, liquid temperature gauges, flow gauges. Why not add wireless or blue tooth for wireless liquid flow and temperature gauges? Don't even get me started about SD card readers because they are all crap and the designers had tunnel vision. My X79 platform has ONE 3.0 MB header. Most cases now have at least Two USB 3.0 on the case that require a MB header. Adding a 5.25 SD device which requires 4 more MB connectors is @#$%% useless. Make an SD reader with a dedicated stand alone charging USB for iPhone or android makes sense. Or make an SD reader without USB 3.0. As you can see from the picture the combs look great why not carry them? Had about 10 orders from Frozen CPU in December. I really appreciated their dozen shipping options. For international customers using Priority Post is a good idea as they don't get charged a brokerage fee that UPS and FedEx typically charge. I like paying Frozen CPU the $3.5 up charge for immediate pick and pack of orders. Your shipping methods need to greatly improve. I spent close to $5000 upgrading my PC in December. Of that EVGA got about half. The rest was mod parts. Brick and mortar stores are closing rapidly and many parts you need for modding you just can't find easily. The other issue is stocking. Early December EVGA had run out of all your higher end GPU yet again. You had 9 version of 1080 and only 1 in stock at the EVGA store. Your online stores were not better. You really need a specific place on the forum where your customers can dump product suggestions. Your on the wrong track with your audio card. See my other post under EVGA audi card " />

I bought an EVGA shirt 3 years ago. It has a huge orange flame and I am afraid to wear it at the mall for fear someone may pull the fire alarm. You make enthusiast products so your apparel line should be just as sophisticated. As a general rule if you are giving a product away for free at a trade show you can make your logo as tacky as possible but if your are charging money do it in a classy way where the logo is proportional to the shirt. Rather than $7.99 shirts that look cheesy why not something upscale like a $90+ high end golf shirts you can wear to the office or golf course? Or how about a leather jacket?

Big question like others have asked, is how much would this cost us? Jacob, you pretty much nailed everything, and people would want. The 10% off of any New Evga products is most likely too far including abe to Pre pre-order products that i think would not be fair practice from a good business point of view imo.

MSim Upgraded and free shipping on all products shipped from EVGA? The problem with that, evga not competitive on product pricing. We can purchase evga products from Amazon or Newegg for less and receive free or discounted shipping already. New perk idea When a new series of graphic cards are released, evga reserves half the stock they receive (for evga.com store) for anyone that has active evga membership. Members could enter a queue, each member can only purchase 1 new released gpu at a time. (not talking about stock you send out to retailers) Will "EVGA Membership" be available for people outside the US. Half the perks mentioned, people outside the US can't take advantage of.
If anyone wants that, then Elite-club members are sure as hells bells gonna have to pay a Lot more for membership. I am against people wanting too much stuff and think they won't have to pay for it in some other way. Keeping things more simple like Jacob had may be the best way to go without having to fork out over $100.00 US.

What about a co-op based system similar to a bike co-op or REI. - You have the ability to contribute to the future of products through voting.
- You have the ability to participate in early beta testing or research studies for products (surveys).
- There are occasional coupons and giveaways of low value
- Anyone helping with distributed computing gets a discount or free membership at a set level of points per month (we're already donating our electricity so EVGA can be #1)
- Incentives to use EVGA's website for orders (2 day shipping, discounts, exclusive availability, etc)
Honestly I don't care so much about the financial benefits but it would be really awesome to get to trial a new tech for 1 month and provide feedback or participate in surveys (with the chance to win some swag or EVGA bucks if some people require that motivation). An ELITE membership should be mutually beneficial and EVGA just giving stuff away isn't sustainable. But the value in hearing their customers in an organized and beneficial fashion could really help grow the EVGA customer base and allow the ELITE members to feel special and involved.

Wanna buy a 460 or a 560 or a 465 or maybe some 480s W/water blocks? ................I'll help with warranty if any issues arise!!! Andddddddddddd I'm pretty sure most "enthusiasts" are lucky to keep them not much longer than the next new GPU release.
