I just changed my H370 Stinger's CPU from i7-9700T to i5-9600K.
Then I saw its PL1/PL2 were unlocked.
I tortured the CPU with Prime95 Small FFTs and it continued running at 4.3GHz all cores.

When I used i7-9700T, its PL1 was locked to 35W 8.00sec, its PL2 was locked to 92W 2.44ms.
Then I ran Prime95 Small FFTs. First it went on 3.6GHz all cores 8 sec, then dropped to 2.4GHz all cores forever.
I want my i7-9700T on this board with full power (3.6GHz forever) and the only method is to unlock its PL1/PL2.
Will EVGATech help me to achieve that?
Thanks very much.

    BTW 9600K @ 4.3GHz all cores = 128W
    9700T @ 3.6GHz all cores = 67W

I want to add another question.

Does the H370 stinger is sell with the most updated bios? if not can i upgrade the bios with no CPU in it?
I'm looking to place an i5-9600K but bios required is 1.04
Therefore how do I update bios without an older cpu?

If bought from the evga store it should come with the latest bios, but it doesn't always happen, so just ask evga to update the bios for you before they ship it out over the phone. Using a compatible cpu such as the Core™ i3 8100 to update the bios is always an option. You could even take the board to a local pc shop to see if they could update the bios for you if they have a compatible cpu on hand.

Thank you for your prompt response.
I will cross fingers, maybe it comes already updated.
My daily schedule doesn't allow me to expend sometime with customer support before i do any purchase.
That would save me some headaches, but EVGA doesn't have 24/7 chat/phone customer support.
Even 6:00 am to 10 pm California time would do better for several customers like me.

Your posts aren't making much sense to me, but maybe because I've only had two cups of coffee this morning here

You said in Post #1 that "I just changed my H370 Stinger's CPU from i7-9700T to i5-9600K", which are 9th Gen CPUs, and "I tortured the CPU with Prime95 Small FFTs and it continued running at 4.3GHz all cores."

Then in Post #3 you said "I'm looking to place an i5-9600K but bios required is 1.04, therefore how do I update bios without an older cpu?"

So if you had an either an i7-9700T or i5-9600K (both 9th Gen.) running in your board, that means it has BIOS 1.04 or newer installed to be compatible with the 9th Gen. CPUs..Look in the BIOS and see which version it has..Then flash to the latest version, which is Version 1.08 as of now.

You should set the CPU Multiplier Control to Manual from Auto, then set the CPU Multiplier Setting for all cores to whatever the Max Turbo Frequency of the CPU is, which is 43 for an i7-9700T and 46 for an i5-9600K and using the default 100MHz BCLK.

Also, if you want the CPU to run a max clock all the time for some odd reason, set the Windows Power Plan to "High performance" in the Windows Control Panel -> Power Options..You could do that only when benchmarking or gaming, then simply and quickly set it back to "Balanced" or "Power saver" without needing to go into the BIOS to make changes.

The Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (XTU) is a good utility for you to have for making some adjustments dynamically "on-the-fly" without having to go into the BIOS to make static changes, and for benchmarking and stress testing.

So what's going on?..You getting another/new mobo, or what?

Old bios my advise is add to cost the purchase of a cheap i3 from 8th gen, I took computer to a computer service place and they are taking forever to troubleshoot what was simply getting i3 8 gen and updating bios... conclusion I provide since first day took them 2 days and now wait for the old processor

Thanks.  Its just not worth it to me.  it'd cost 125 bucks for a used i3 8100 that I would have to resell.  I dont have a problem doing the CPU swap and bios myself but its a pain buying and selling a CPU I dont even need.  I did call EVGA and they said that I could RMA it in the first 30 days and have them flash it

Question I assume the board was not purchased directly from EVGA. Will they pay for the RMA?
