At this point, anything is better than what we've had over the last month or so....

Fayalite Well and a 1 year lifecycle when they are selling the current product, faster than they can produce it is not a great business decision... And if 2022 being around September... Well more people won't have a 3XXX GPU and would have bought one otherwise would be lining up for the latest one instead...
Whatever reason why under production exist in the first place. Good luck with that anyway.
And if miners start selling the massive stock they have... Production might become being over demand... Sooooo answer is complex and I don't predict future... I will wait my 3090 KP as long as needed to have it cause will be awesome anyway
If you buy a 3090 from a miner after it’s been cooking in the heat you’re asking for trouble.

I personally won't buy from a miner... just because I prefer having a new card... period. But that's just me. I believe some people are smarter than me (money wise at least), and go for second hand to get something cheaper that is still good. Yes you can get a dog... but a dog 3090 at the price (MSRP speaking) of a 3080... could be consider a bargain today. Some will go this path, and then would remove part of the demand that is making the high shortage GPU wise speaking only. And let's be honest... if you could buy 2 3090 today for 2k why won't people do it??? Even if they have been mined but still working. It will be a monster of a rig still, especially for that price. If the market gets flooded... might happen. Again not making any prediction, and it is under the speculation that the mining madness that is happening goes to a stop... not a slow down, a dead stop (which probably won't happen anytime soon)

From what I just heard from tech support there won’t be a hc because of the silicone shortage and not enough to be sold to justify making them

Jacob tweets a lot of things like “next week.” then you get to next week and “no drop this week.”

I asked Jacob about that during the team evga stream on twitch and he said the hydro copper blocks will be sold separately. Now hopefully we can get one before they sell out.

It hasn't been released yet. Hydro copper for 3090 and 3080 was released in limited numbers recently based on the queue that they had briefly back in December I think. Those queues have not reopened yet.

Too late. Next year's cards already sold out. Lol But seriously, you're assuming you can manage to get a 40 series card next year. I'm a little concerned that the situation won't be much better. Maybe mining will have died down at least. But the scalper problem may only get worse.

I'm speaking to this post objectively with no emotion; technically speaking 2022 is a pretty large window. It COULD be Jan 1, 2022, or even Dec 31 2022. If the 30xx series has taught us anything it will be another paper launch for at least *checks watch* 6 months and if nothing changes on the silicon shortage issues then perhaps even longer. Let's assume the earlier for sake of argument. They paper launch on Jan 1, 2022 - you still probably aren't going to get your hands on a new card until at least July, 2022. That's well over a year from now and SUPER speculative. If the latter, you are looking at closer to July 2023. If they follow the same path as 30xx, release in October timeframe and here we are in 2023 (April/May). Obviously not trying to steer any decision-making here but a bird in hand is better than "the next bird" a year or two from now. To each their own and I feel your pain. If I still have no 30xx card by the end of this year I might consider waiting too, but only just. Best of luck to all! I hope this global catastrophe clears up soon and helps us all out (with more than just cards, quality of life, jobs, health, etc).

Toieo For all you haters out there that said 2022 wasn't going to see a new GPU when I said 2021 was half way through the lifespan of the 3xxx series and $2500 bucks for a year old GPU when a new card would replace it in a year is whack: "NVIDIA has finally unveiled a brand new GPU roadmap which confirms that its next-generation successor to the Ampere GPU will arrive next year in 2022. In addition to that, the roadmap also shows what's coming next in regards to future ARM-based CPUs and DPUs."
That $2500 bucks can be saved for next years GPU's. If they call my number soon I'll bite but if this goes on too long, I'm gonna passvious EDIT - Previous:
Too late. Next year's cards already sold out. Lol
But seriously, you're assuming you can manage to get a 40 series card next year. I'm a little concerned that the situation won't be much better. Maybe mining will have died down at least. But the scalper problem may only get worse.
So Talon, is this the new queue for the 4k series cards, then? Hahaha..... had to. Seriously though, you can look at this in one of two ways: 1. Wait a year(?) as Toieo suggests. Save the $$$, use whatever GPU you have now. 2. Wait a little longer from now and purchase the 3k series card you're waiting for and use it until the 4k series rolls around, which, at this point is no guarantee at all. I'm with you as far as the situation on the production situation now and moving forward through the rest of this year.....Nvidia can't even get all the 3k series cards out the door yet; Waiting for the NEXT GPU? Go for it, but that's a LOT of time that could be spent playing games (and/or whatever else you use a GPU for). It reminds me of the old saying about a bird in the hand is worth sniping in a bush at 4k, 100fps...... wait, that's not right. A Kingpin in the hand is worth a bunch of birds......ah hell, nevermind. I'd rather play now and all the days until we get to do this queue thread thing again in a year (or likely more). I was told that I was a fool for spending the money on a 2080ti since the 3k series was around the corner. I've played a LOT of games over the last year and a half, and I'm still getting some great play time while I wait for the King. It *WAS* a "gamble", but it paid off.....and I didn't have nearly as much information at hand about where the next year was headed as we do now. Seems like an easy decision to me, but I'd understand, somewhat, if someone chose to wait....
