mrv153Can someone explain me please:I used +700 mem +140 core before without any issues at 105% PT.When I change PT to 118% from 105%, its not stable anymore and ill get crashes. Its because of higher boost clock because card is able to pull more power?
hayabusa09How the heck do you guys keep your cards < 70C? Max fan speed? Sorry if noob question..im a noob :-/
jilljill2002hayabusa09How the heck do you guys keep your cards < 70C? Max fan speed? Sorry if noob question..im a noob :-/I am curious too, I have to undervolt to 0.875mv to keep the card under 70C

I get irritated when people post cards temps but don’t post ambient temps. That, and also using the OC bios that has more aggressive fan curve.
ReedeyYea I'm in a similar boat, this bios simply doesn't work with my system. Scores, overclocks and stability are all higher using the original bios.
mrv153This Bios is really weird. Can someone share the original bios? I got with old bios with the exact same settings in x1 and fans 19250 timespy score. Now I get only 18.000, sometimes 17600?? Settings are +700mem +140 core +0mv Voltage 105% PTWhen I set 118% PT score get much worser. In all tests I have 50°C avg temp of gpu.

ReedeyI’ve said multiple times now. The voltage slider doesn’t change anything. My card is just a poor overclocker.

However I did notice a change in at least one game, it could have been temps being lower, or something else but after lowering it a bit and still crashing I put up the overlay and noticed that the the frame limited game (wolfenstein: youngblood limiting in nv contorl panel to 117fps was boosting to 2055 instead of 2040 the day before where it was stable) This wasn't a power thing because it was in the low 300ish watts, but it looks like the temp/clock curves are modified, or there is a max power component of the curve. Adjusting the OC so that the game hit 2040 max again made it stable at about 45 ticks less. It really wasn't underclocked from where it was before the bios changed, it just didn't need the extra boost to get there...
markuaw1that new bios is letting the card pull a lot of Watts
corsair0428I downloaded it and executed it but I failed to update the VBIOS, don't I just click to execute it?
aeunexcoreSo practically, you'd only need to download the OC version of the new BIOS if you want to keep the normal bios as "NORMAL 1.0" and not this version latest version, right?
TheGuz4LWaiting for this bios to become 'official' before I d/l it. I assume this gets pushed through EVGA X1 then?
