@EVGA_JacobF Any chance you can let us in on what the values for the fuses are on the PCB for the pci-e slot and the 8 pin connectors.
It looks like 20amps for the 8pin connectors and 10amps for the pci-e slot but can you confirm that.

Oh this is great news. Testing out soon.

Do we need to install both bios files to the respective switch positions or are the 2 files just available for us to have the option of which switch position we want to apply the beta bios to?

Well 1st off thanks a bunch.

However I must have the worst piece of silicone I could get...

ZERO, NADDA, ZIPPO improvement in clocks.

My card will not do 2100 period, no matter what will not do it....

I even lost 10 MHz on clock in Port Royal and Superposition.

This is depressing.... I gained nothing....

I think I got a bum card....

It will be interesting to see the benchmarks results since while having an increase power limit is nice it's not really that important if the card isn't stable and providing numbers above what was able to be done at stock. Hopefully this helps but numbers are the real factor that should be looked at.

Whats the temptures tho.
Thats almost more important then the power limit since raising the power limit will raise the temptures. And raising the temptures decrease stablity and raises power draw.

I have 2 strix ocs and only 1 ftw3 atm. I was going to flash the strix bios today, but this bios saves me the hassle, so its much appreciated. Now that they are both 450 watt. 3090 bios would be nice since the strix is 480 on that. However, I am still power limited. I would say the ftw3 cooler does a better job at 100% fan than the strix cooler does, even though by looks and build the strix oc looks more beefy and effective. I think the ftw3 card has some catching up to do compared to the strix but it is 40 bucks less at 809 vs 849.  Hopefully we can get a true xoc bios

Oddly I'm in a similar boat. I accidentally ended up with a FTW3 Ultra and a StrixOC trying to rush through a checkout though the Newegg App last week.

Now with performance likely being functionally equal at worst (I haven't tried out the FTW3 yet but I will), I'm left trying to decide how much value I place on the second HDMI 2 port. Strix OC is beautiful no doubt, but from the side both cards are beautiful. FTW3 provides a level of peace of mind via Step Up that the Strix simply cannot. But one less HDMI port is a hard limit that I've been meditating over since the card configurations were announced.

If I decide to do a 4K 120Hz TV AND a 4K, high refresh monitor next year, I'd have to buy some sort of HDMI switch or manually swap cables when I want to use one vs the other with the card. Where with the Strix, I can have both plugged in and not have to worry about it at all.

I guess I'll take another day or two to decide if I prefer 2x HDMI ports vs the potential Step Up to a 3090 or similar in the next 3 months. Man, if the EVGA cards had 2 HDMI ports like all the Asus and Gigabyte cards do, this would have been the easiest decision ever. SIGH.

1980 vs 2100 is a 5.88235% difference - not that much. If you absolutely have to have that 5.88235% difference, you could always sell your 3080 and try and get another one and play the silicon lottery again.

That doesn't add up to just 5.8% in the tests, the difference is much larger normally.

Even another 50 MHz can make a large difference.

I figured I would have gotten a little more out of it..... Didn't happen...

Why do you need two HDMI 2.1 ports? Wouldn't DisplayPort give.you everything you need for monitor connectivity?

I think you'll find that it equates to nearly 5.8% (or less) of a difference in points / FPS in identical systems. But feel free to wallow around more, I'm done trying to help.

That doesn't add up to just 5.8% in the tests, the difference is much larger normally.

I think you'll find that it equates to nearly 5.8% (or less) of a difference in points / FPS in identical systems. But feel free to wallow around more, I'm done trying to help.

Not in Superposition and say Port Royal as examples, the actual difference is much larger than 5.8%..

I went through it with my 2080Ti FTW3 Ultra... A little more clock can make a rather large change in score... 1 to 2 FPS difference in Superposition is MASSIVE score wise....

FPS then, if you want to get into curve point systems. That's my final word on it. Ta ta.

Add a few FPS like 3 or 4 in Superposition and that adds up to thousands of points score wise..

Figured I would have gotten 2 realistically, but NOPE.. And even less OC...

Great to see this new bios, flashing worked fine, I'm scared to apply the higher power limit though :D It won't do anything with the warranty, right? I mean it's the official version, it shouldn't destoy anything either?
I'm really happy with the performance as it is, love how EVGA gave us more than they promised now :) Faster now to heat my room when I'm cold :D

Left is OC, Right is Normal. It literally says it on the card...

100% Agreed
3090(450W) also need an extra power bios to beat ROG(480W)

EVGA PRESIDENT NOW

Good Job 👍 confirmed best aib partner

Also, dont forget to show the 3090 users some love as well. Ftw3 at $1800; we could use 480-520w

Regardless, that was excellent. Strix who?

I am leaning towards the ASUS RTX 3090 Strix because of its higher power limit but if the 3090 FTW3 power limit is increased to 520 W, the EVGA card would be my first choice.
