Gremlin_77Anyone else get a message while doing the 500w BIOS update that says: "No display adapters were found that are compatible with this update" ??
jamexrGremlin_77Anyone else get a message while doing the 500w BIOS update that says: "No display adapters were found that are compatible with this update" ??That happens when you’re flashing the wrong bios. Make sure you’re flashing FTW ultra to a ultra card and FTW regular to a regular card.Wait, and what 500w bios? This is the bios thread for the 450w for the 3080 bro. 500w is for 3090’s Are you sure you’re in the right place?

Might be the wrong place...the 450w update worked like a charm......but the 500w update still mentions it's for the 3080 and 3090 FTW cards...and i have the 3080 FTW3 Ultra...I'll go looking for the other thread...
NexusSixPrecision X1 is a resource vampire, don't leave it open in the background. Having it minimized to the system tray seems to be OK.
blade7861just finished my port royal benchmarks, here it is with updated bios (12708) core+177 memory+1211 core result is similar (i have done +182 before ) but can push memory much higher (was +998 before although memory didnt affect score that much +12)but core is much stable @ higher clocks than before, improving the score
aeunexcoreI don't understand what's happening. So I tried downloading and flashing the two bios(Normal and OC) into this new one for the 450W. I tried overclocking my 3080 FTW3 Ultra to +125 clock and +630 mem and was having issue trying to run port royal. When I was able to get it run, the maximum power draw that's being recorded in GPU-Z is 418W. Can someone explain what is going on here? Am I missing something? I have 3 single PCIe cables connected to the graphics card and I have a 1000W EVGA G5 PSU.
Dabadger84Are you maxing out the voltage slider? Is that overclock actually stable? What "PerfCap" reason are you seeing in Port Royal? For my run, it's mostly VRel/VOp which is voltage-related, not power limit... but I did also hit the suposed "power limit as well" a few times: That's at +150/+800... so it's entirely possible your OC is simply not hitting power limit on the card yet. I know when I was running +130/+800 I didn't get power limit PerfCap hardly at all the whole test, and max draw was around 433W.

Someone also mentioned leaving it at 0 so now I'm confused about what to believe. For some reason, I'm able to run benchmarks(timespy & port royal) 100% of time when the voltage is at 0, though. PerCap reason I only see is "Idle". So if you're +130/+800 wasn't hitting power limit, does that mean my +125/+630 is a very conservative OC and there's more I can squeeze out of this card before it shows instability?
PhoenixA7ZHi All! Where can I find the stock 3080 FTW3 Ultra BIOS?
LazaredzI'm probably being blind but .... is there a link to the original BIOS anywhere if we wish to go back?
kevinc313mrv153This Bios is really weird. Can someone share the original bios? I got with old bios with the exact same settings in x1 and fans 19250 timespy score. Now I get only 18.000, sometimes 17600?? Settings are +700mem +140 core +0mv Voltage 105% PTWhen I set 118% PT score get much worser. In all tests I have 50°C avg temp of gpu.ReedeyYea I'm in a similar boat, this bios simply doesn't work with my system. Scores, overclocks and stability are all higher using the original bios. Please review my post about the voltage slider on the previous page. https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/3119839 Without allowing the card to increase core voltage, you are not likely to be stable at higher clocks.

I'm well under total power envelope and temps are golden... but I'm hitting VREL/VOP at that point. https://i.imgur.com/j5Jzze2.pngIf the XOC wont give me anymore in the voltage area, i don't see any point for me to bother with it.
Mandalorian1977I did a lot of testing with the 3080 FTW3 Ultra in Time Spy and Port Royal. For me, i got better scores upping the memory clock a bit, at the expense of some core speed. I'd try +120 core, 0 memory, which amounts to 2100mhz on the core clock. Then i'd do +115 core, +200 memory and get a better score. I my actual highest score was from +110 core, 500 memory, but... i thought maybe in real games and video editing i might be better off just going with a higher core, slightly slower memory. I'd get crashes if i tried to sneak much more than that. It was like a give and take between core and memory. I'm a total noob to all this, honestly. But these are my findings after running those benchmarks over and over with slight adjustments. I think i'll stick with +115 core and +200 memory. Which amounts to 2085mhz and 10002mhz
wadec22downloaded and installed Beta BIOS - why does precision X try to update my firmware everytime I try to run the program? I have the proper 3080 FTW OC Beta BIOS and Precision X1 version 1.1.0.11 installed. If I go one version older to 1.1.0.9 - it works fine. Weird.
Paddy32Hello all After many benchmarks this was my maximum score on Port Royal : I went from 1000 Mem / 200 Clock (12220 Port Royal) to 500 Mem / 200 Clock (12427 Port Royal) which is very interesting. I installed the 450W OC Bios on the GPU and hit Vrel during benchmarks.I'm quite happy with the results knowing that I'm using an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X and air cooling.MB : MSI X570 TOMAHAWKCPU : Amd Ryzen 7 3700X - PBO enabled (Enhanced Mode 3)CPU Cooler : Noctua NH-D15GPU : EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3PSU : Seasonic Focus 850W PlatRAM : 16Gox2 3200MhzQuite funnily enough, this score is just in the top 100 for 3700X + RTX 3080 : Not the best, but not bad either I suppose.
