MSI's card doesn't *need* that 3rd plug. it's marketing gimmick, that plug will be completely useless because, with the exception of the EVGA's Kingpin, all Turing cards from all manufacturers will be voltage limited just like the Pascal and Maxwell cards before that. going from 8+6 pins to 8+8 pins is enough to allow you to safely set the max power target to 130%, and as before that will be the most any card will let you do.

Just called bhphotovideo about my EVGA 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra, they said EVGA pushed their order back further. Could be anywhere between a week to a month backed up, maybe more he said. Feels like crud man
