Hey everyone forgive me if the answer is on here somewhere, I have been looking around and can't seem to find it.
I have  EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 FTW Hybrid
Part:  08G-P4-6278-KR

I have been having issues with it overheating. Some days it will work fine when I game it will get about 30-47C temps which is perfect.
Right now it's back to overheating. It's idling at 50C and when I play a game even the most basic of games it goes up around 93C, then my GPU fan starts cranking loud.

I have been trying to figure out how can I tell if the pump is actually working and is liquid being delivered to the GPU?
I did see on Google that the 1070 did have some overheating issues but the FTW Hybrid models were not affected?

I'm starting to think the pump is not working and then sometimes it is.

Is there a way to check if the pump is working?
Anyone else have this issue or suggestions on what I should try?

Should I just setup an RMA? Is there any kind of cross-ship option where they send another card first?

Thanks much in advance.
Oscar

Definitely sounds like the pump is running intermittently. I would definitely suggest rma'ing the card. Yes, there is a cross-ship option, you can read more about it here... https://www.evga.com/howtorma/

So I replaced the card and now this card is giving me the same problem with only my web browser open my GPU temperature was idling at 82-87C!

When I first installed the replacement card I noticed the same issue then I restarted the computer it and it was normal around 33C idling. The card was working normally for some time then I noticed the issue again. So I uninstalled the card and let it sit for some time and just used my onboard Intel GPU. An hour later I installed it, when powering on I heard the liquid flow and the card and it was back to normal. I tried shutting down my computer for about 30 minutes. After starting up again it's idling normally.

I notice when I put my computer to sleep, upon waking the computer the pump is not working, then sometimes it does work out of sleep.

    Here is my config:
    Recent Driver Installed: GeForce ver.384.76
    Windows 10 Pro
    EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2, 80+ GOLD 750W
    Asus ROG Gene VIII Motherboard
Corsair Hydro Series H100i v2 Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
    Intel i7 6700k
    Corsair Vengeance DDR4 32GB
Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB (AIO Liquid Cooling)
Samsung 500GB 850 EVO 2.5-Inch SATA III SSD
    Asus 28in 4K/UHD PB287Q using display port.

I already have another RMA setup...
Just wondering if anyone else has had the same issue?

Should the card work normally if I put my computer to sleep?

I think I am having the same issue here.
2*GTX 980TI SLI randomly overheat, either both or just one of them.

sometimes this problem associated with sleep/waking. Tried reinstall OS, drivers and Nvidia software but no fix the problem.
I think the pump is working fine mechanically, but OS/software could be interfering.

Well, I had my 2nd RMA card installed for about a week now, and it's been working fine out of sleep mode now.
So hopefully it was just a hardware issue with my original and last RMA card.

I also have the same problem now. But not sure it is due to the pump, anyone have the idea how to check?

When the card starts to get hot feel the tubes to see if you can feel any vibrations. No vibrations felt = pump not working.

Hello I have a 1070 hybrid and as of today I'm experiencing exactly the same issue. card has run stable and amazing for over a year, all of a sudden temps at 90C fan throttling up to max which has never happened before, was playing RB6Siege last night everything was smooth as butter, powered on today and immediately had problems. for a 450$ part this is pretty upsetting.

Yea man, you will have to setup a RMA with EVGA, they send you another card and you mail that one back. Hopefully you only have to do this once, I had to do it twice.
