Yeah well if this is what you want, then by all means go for it :P!
I have been really tempted by a bunch of stuff (almost made a badass ITX build with the Hadron Hydro), but I've decided I'm going to wait until Fall 2014 and get a DDR4 (if it isn't awful) 8-core Haswell-E rig with a 1TB SSD and at least 2 GTX 880s (maybe WC if the budget allows) with a 4K monitor.
Point is, if you do plan on going all-out, it may be worthwhile to wait until then (but it's of course up to you).

Well I've already got all the parts, due to the Intel Retail Edge Holiday Deal (for 4930k) sort of pushed me to do so.
Everything I've listed is in hand, the only things I need are the GPU, Windows 8.1, Keyboard. Have a 27 inch Samsung but might be tempted to go Asus 144Mhz or a G Sync Monitor of some denomination.

I'm not going "all out" per se, like some people with custom water everything and quad SLi, however I am picking high quality components of the present.

Haswell E and DDR4 is exciting but I'm 95% built hahaha. Still I planned this thing to beast and beast it shall. Intel will give me a deal on Haswell E by next winter, so who knows, maybe an upgrade will be in order ;)

You'll need an X99 motherboard with that Haswell-E, but I agree your system is pretty nice for today :P. Unfortunately, I don't work somewhere that allows me to take advantage of the Retail Edge program so I have to buy stuff like a normal guy XD.

Yea working for an ISP is nice, Intel Retail Edge is phenomenal. I wish EVGA had something like that but Intel is gargantuan which is why they can afford to sell you a $600 6 core for $179.... Oh well that money is going straight to EVGA for this Kingpin anyhow XD

1072MHz GPU Clock.
That mean card will jump on near 1200MHz out of box.
Nice...

dude if money is no problem here is the deal:

new Intel Cpu's only for 2015 AKA skylake!
why skylake? they will support a lot of new technologies.
2015 will be full of surprises like pci-e 4.0, sata express, ddr4 RAMS etc..
all expensive tech as usual when its released!

probably wont be any hardware ready for those but nothing new there...  ;)
i mean only now we are knowing pci-e 3 gfx cards so..   ;) and pci-e 3 was announced a good while back ;)

google a bit ;) inform yourself!

and i personally would not go over a 4 Core Cpu..  at the most.. a 6 core but i dunno any games programmed to use 6...

kepler is over. i would go for Maxwell because of project denver.

and thats pretty much it ;) information is power. is all you got as a consumer ;)

Is that date for Pre-Order or actual Retail sales?
I would say it's for pre-orders because it sounds like we have to order the card first through the Build Program that we know nothing about yet.

Preorder date. That's the date when we can hopefully place our order for the cards.

Base clock is more than I expect to be honest.
1072MHz is nice clock.
GTX780Ti Classified vs KP Classified
1020MHz -1072MHz
1085MHz Boost - 1137MHz Boost
Texture Fill Rate: 244 GT/s - 257 GT/s

Even without overclocking this visible difference in benchmarks.

Yea that's basically what I wanted to get out of this thread, some kind of info from insiders or EVGA reps, as to if we can get on a notify list or something to help us out.
I'm new and know as much as anyone that's been on this board for months apparently.
I'd like EVGA to take my money now please.

I question the viability of a Kingpin card in the long run (you said you want to keep it for a while). 3GB of VRAM really is barely enough now...

Re: EVGA GTX 780 Ti Classified K|NGP|N Edition 2014/01/08 00:59:27 (permalink)
I will keep card 24-30 months example, for that period on 60Hz Monitor 24" 1920x1080 I will be maybe with 2-3 games close to 3GB.
People talk same things for GTX580, 3GB is better, even Radeon previous series as 5870/6950/6970 have 2GB, why only 1536MB.
People still use that card for 1920x1080 and problem is only chip and maybe little memory for newest games now, but cards are still alive for 60fps and 1080p.
I completely agree companies leave us without some basic explanations, example Why Intel decide to go again with cheap grace we never get answer and we never get answer why no one launch simple GK110 with 4GB except Titan. Why GTX770 4GB and no GTX780Ti Classified 4GB.
But looks like we don't deserve that answers and companies start to leave us now in present without some things only to better sell something in future. Such behavior I didn't notice before 5-6 years. They go best they can, but now that's not case.
Because GTX780Ti 4GB is exactly as people need if you want to stay with cards over 2 years, but I think and 3GB is not too low.

due to bus size or w/e u cant make a 4GB 780 it would have to be iirc 4.5 or 6gb
a kingpin isn't what i'd spend my $$ on for 1080p gaming for the next 30 months nut if you have the $$ sure go for it

Example as 1.5GB, they could launch and 4.5GB. Better than 3 and again more than Radeon. People would love to see that.
780Ti KP Classified exactly fit for all new games with max filters and lights and ambient, maybe and some little mods, and you spend fps easy. Why not for 1920x1080??? Little overclocking, than 1200MHz Boost will be nice for me until they present us best from Maxwell architecture...
CPU don't need me new soon, 3770K is over my need for gaming but graphic card only little miss for gaming just I like... exactly for GTX780Ti on 1200MHz Boost.

My problem is:
Titan: Sweet 6GB of Ram, runs at 6000 MHz, runs good FPS across the board, clocks way too low, $1000 - Needs More Clock, needs to be cheaper
780 Ti: sweet fps with only 3GB of Ram at 7000MHz and factory clocked to the moon $790 - Needs More Ram, needs to be a titan

I can't win

That's plan... They could launch everything on Spring/Summer 2013, GTX780 (2880 Shaders) 3GB, GTX780 6GB for premium models as Classified and Lightening and GTX770 GK110 (2304 Shaders). Now this is whole mess. They could better to present GK110 line-up.
From other side with AMD no bad surprise and all customer know what to wait and one premium model is competitive with ALL NVIDIA GK110 VERSIONS.

Yeah honestly the only reason I bought the 780 ti was because the non ref AMDs were taking too long....like way too long.

and now with those litecoin ****tards messing up stocks the 290Xs are like 700 bucks on most stores anyway.

I actually also bought the 780Ti because of the 3 games promo with AMD only offering BF4 (while the 260/280 got like 3 games including thief)

GUESS WHAT AMAZON SUDDENLY DECIDED TO STOP OFFERING THE PROMO ON THE 780TI FOR NO REASON. so now I am getting no games at all. somebody from EVGA said that they would contact amazon for me but I send them a email like 9/10 days ago and EVGA still hasn't replied(just send another email)

I don't know what AMD is planning to do this year but There is a high chance il go AMD next round since AMD seems to be fairer in terms of pricing and lets be honest the drivers are fixed, no stupid AMD freaking out about voltages and overclocking and cheaper with same performance.

Excellent, no doubt I'm fan of perfect graphic cards and that's this model.
With GTX780 Classified SLI I will had more performance but KP Classified more attract me.
I would only like to know is it possible to EVGA launch later GTX780Ti KP 6GB Classified.

GTX780Ti is better card than Radeon R9-290X out of box, special overclocked as KP Classified and plus now is Radeon price higher than GTX780 only Radeon have advantage in overclocking without EVbot and because NVIDIA voltage restriction.
But maybe EVGA change that with this model.
People non-stop sell EVBot over EBay, I will buy than one after upgrade.

Very much doubt you will get a 6gb version of kingpin as more memory makes o/c harder its why some disable 3GB on a titan for benching

Maybe you are right for memory, I will not look much on that way because that's for people who play on higher resolution than 1080p.

But 1300MHz on 1200V is sick speed. That's not GTX780Ti, that's monster.
Because of that I gave up from step-up and everything else, If I pay so much for card I will pay more for better board and than you have full satisfaction from your favorite company.
I mean if card can work 1300MHz in games, owners of such card is lucky man no matter on benchmarks.
On such speed numbers are completely different than GTX780Ti reference as different card.

Is the kingpin card going to be hit with the same shutdown/reset problems the normal 780ti classy is getting? anything above 1450 core and i get a shutdown right away when benching and its getting very very annoying, youll probably be seeing my card on the marketplace very soon in anticipation of a 290x lightning if this keeps going, especially if the KPE has the same problems.

And sadly without fix's from evga this is what people will do, Same thing i would do if i had gone out supported EVGA right off and bought a 780ti classy :(
its not just the fact they havent released a fix its the complete lack of response on the issue laterly ,, Sadly if it carrys on i can see myself not buying anymore EVGA stuff
We are used to beta testing games like bf4 Shoudn't have to put up with it with a $700 peice of hardware aswell

I dont blame evga for this, this is clearly Nvidia's work holding us back, it just sucks so much to spend so much on a card with high hopes of pushing it to its absolute limits, only to be clock blocked(ty ftw420) so hard, i was trying to bench my card again tonight and i didnt get a single successful run in because i was getting shut downs. No artifacts or anything, just shut downs. So i know the card can handle the clocks i gave it, but the overclock/overvolt protection was kicking in and preventing my card from doing what it was made to do.

The only thing bothering me right now about the kingpin card is we havent had a 100% confirmation on if it will launch with these problems the 780ti classified non kingpin card is having. Once we get a confirmation that it will have the problem or it will not have the problem, then i will be making my next card choice.  If it doesnt have the problem, i will buy a KPE card, if it does have the problem...well...acdc thunderstruck is gonna be playing while im benching the 290x lightning.

Again, i have nothing but love for EVGA, but nvidia can go suck a big one.
