can i just use the nvidia control panel to verify?
system info shows a video BIOS version #.

what bios version should I see..
I checked GPU-Z and it shows 70.10.34.00.83 for two cards and 70.10.49.00.81 for the third card...
I checked Evtune and I dont see the VGPU option enabled to increase the voltage...or am I missing something here?

Because the 590 is basically two 580's smashed together. It would stand to reason they may share some of the same problems.

Not a bad point, but I'm pretty sure that a 590 doesn't need this update.

hello, i realized after flashing that i will not overvolt this card. i hate the red led being on and would like to flash back to the latest normal mode firmware. i do not have it, ooooppppppps can someone please upload the original latest NORMAL mode firmware for this card? thx edit: forget it. i misunderstood. when i flashed the card it was in normal mode and wast recognized until i put it into oc mode. now that i did that and switched back to normal mode it worked fine and scaled correctly. thx

Well I think I am having some similar issues after I tried this flash. :( I made the mistake of running the upgrade while I was on jumper setting one instead of overclock mode. I shutdown and then installed the firmware in OC mode and now I can only see 1 GPU in NVIDIA control Panel although under device manager I can see both 580's. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance. Update: So I shutdown and set both jumpers back to normal and I can see both 580s in NVIDIA Control Panel and set them to SLI surround etc. However when I shutdown and set to OC mode and reboot the same thing happens only one 580 is visible in the control panel??? Please help. Here are the GPUZ screens and you can see one card has some missing info on the bios version and subvendor.

Hello everyone,
I have only one problem with the update.
I have 3 GTX 580 Classified cards and 2 cards the new bios is already on it, but the third Card does not want the update.
I just get the message: "No display adapters were found that are compatible with this update."
According to EVGA Precision on the card is the BIOS version 70.10.34.00.91
There is no Ultra version!
Can you help me here please?

Hi,
I recently got a second 580 and today I felt like having a play with the voltages, so I put both cards in OC mode and the newer cards red lights came on and fan went to full speed. So I tried to flash it to Bios version 70.10.49.00.81, but it said it couldn't.
Then i looked in GPU-Z and it says that both cards already have version 70.10.49.00.81 !?
If that is the case, then why is one card running with fans at full speed, indicating that the firmware has not been updated?

EVGA GTX 580 Classified Firmware Update 1.1
There is a new firmware update available for the GTX 580 Classified, this update allows EVBot to work and also prepares the card to support the new ELEET software update that is currently in internal BETA testing.
Please note this BIOS is ONLY for the OC Mode, and overvolting will only work in OC Mode.
Installation
- Shut down the PC, switch small jumper on the side of the card to OC Mode, bootup. The LED on the back of the card should be red now. (Card will be running at 100% fanspeed until update is applied)
- Download this 580 Classified update: 1588/1593_update_1.1.zip
- Extract the files to a location on disk.
- Make sure no programs are running in the background, and double click update.exe.
- Press "Y" to begin the update.
- DO NOT TURN OFF POWER OR RESET DURING THE UPDATE PROCESS!
- After update, restart PC
