Hi all, I've heard that 1070's with Micron memory are bad at overclocking and my non-EVGA 1070 with micron proves it, artifacting in Heaven at only 130 core or 200 mem. So what memory does your 1070 FTW have? I don't know if it comes with both or Samsung only. Thanks and here's mine:

My 1070 FTW has Samsung. I haven't really tested it with OCing yet as I have my BCLK way up at 171.5 and it pretty much maxed out my PCIE bus so my card is running like it would be OC at stock speeds. I have to fiddle with my OC setting to get more stability. I did try to max out the mem on passmark and got it up to +850 before things froze up. But that's just passmark no other benchmarks.

This is an argument that has been going on for years.  Some people want to believe that having Samsung VRAM is better than having Micron.  It's simply not true.  Both are tested rigorously while being manufactured and are, for all intents and purposes, the same.  The difference between the two is nil, and OC'ing them is more particular to each individual module, not which brand it is (i.e. silicon lottery).
