Noticed recently that my EVGA G5 850 has coil whine that comes and goes.  Is this normal?  Should I be worried about psu failure?    Previous EVGA power supplies didn't not whine.  I had to replace my P2 650 with an 850 because of new gpu upgrade.  The P2 850 were either out of stock or the price was double than the normal price.  So I found the G5 850 in stock for regular price and got it, hoping it would be as good at the P2 power supplies that I own.  (have 2 other computers with the P2 on them and no coil whine at all).   Thank you for any help.   Don't want my new graphics card ending up being an expensive paperweight.

Check and see if the coil whine is coming from the GPU due to the Power Supply. Try plugging your PC into a wall socket not connected to the same voltage line.

I don't have a spare plug.  I am running three pc's in the room.  My cyberpower battery backup has three things plugged into it.  I wouldn't have a plug for the pc and at least one monitor.  Wonder why the P2 650 didn't have coil whine and this one does (given that everything was the same except for the new gpu and psu)?  I opened the case. it's coming from the psu.   It comes and goes.  The noise doesn't bother me.  I just wonder if that's a normal noise or should I be worried?
