Trying to see if anyone has had this problem with the EVGA Z77 FTW. Initially I received an Error Code 55 (RAM not installed) and I called tech support and they suggested that I put the computer together outside of the case because something might be grounded/shorted. So I did and when I put it back together I now get an Error Code 64 (CPU DXE initialization is started). I phoned Tech Support again and they said to check the pins. There is nothing visibly damaged.

I have tested my CPU with another board and it works fine.
I intend to buy a EVGA GeForce 670 if I can get this board working. If not I am returning back to Asus MoBo and Asus Video Cards.

Other Information:
EVGA Z77 FTW Motherboard
Corsair Dominator Platinum 2 X 8GB
700W OCZ
3770K I7

I pressed F1, and now I am getting a 62 Error Code (installation of runtime services) and an A2 Error Code (IDE Detect).

I videoed what it is doing now. If it helps, I have no detection on the monitor as well.

    Thanks for the help.

    Hello,

I do apologize for the issues you are having. I may suggest clearing your CMOS then testing the system with only 1 stick of memory installed, reseating the 24pin 8pin power, usb keyboard, video card, but no hdd or optical drives. If don't receive a successful boot, you can try switch to the other 2 bios settings on the motherboard. Please keep us updated with the results of your testing so we can further assist you.

    Regards,

I have gotten past the A2 issue now and have the 62 remaining. However I now have visual on the monitor and can get to the BIOS. I believe I need to take my disc drive and SSD and install some drivers through my laptop then put them back into the computer. I am going to install my OS onto the SSD through my laptop as well. I am hoping this will bypass the 62 error. As I am able to start up but when I try and install Windows it says that I am missing Drivers.

However I do not know what "Error 62 - Installation of the South Bridge Runtime Services" means.

    Hello,
This is something I would not recommend as when installing your OS, the motherboard's chip set drivers will be embedded into the OS. Which may cause stability issues when trying to boot into the OS when the drive is plugged into your motherboard.

If you get a post code of 62 but are able to boot into Bios then the 62 is not an error and may indicate a successful post.
But if you are having issues with a windows installation I would suggest installing with only 1 stick of memory installed (if one doesn't work switch it with the other stick) using an optical drive plugged into the black sata ports. Also other options would be using a USB flash drive to install windows or a USB dvd drive.

    Regards

Yes, the end result ended up being a few different but simple issues I was having.
