If you can at least get in the queue for 3080ti 24 hours before the general public, that's better than nothing.
Talking about 0.001% to 0.01% chance of getting this card first month. Joke aside, everyone wants to be ELITE now even we have 24 hour advantage, there will be a lot of people you have to compete with

Sure but at least we don't have to compete with scalpers having 25 accounts each... unless they have WAY too much time on their hands to make forum posts.

They'd also need to have multiple addresses - a different one for every card and every account, and no mail forwarding. EVGA only ships 1 card per address. That makes things a little more difficult.

My guess is that the launch date is June 2nd or 3rd. With so many cards already shipped to warehouses it will not be possible to postpone the release any longer.

Anyways, even though there is gonna be a lot of people in the queue, it will be the best chance we'll have, against those using bots, to get a GPU.
This. So much this. EVGA is really the only game in town doing a wait list. I'm not sure why others like best buy aren't doing something like this. Even if it's not their whole stock, it would go a long way toward building good will. On the glass half full side of things, at least it's EVGA doing a wait list and not another company with a lesser reputation.

nvidia has really ruined things by moving the product stack up one level. the 3060 should really be a 3070 and the 3070 should be a 3080. this generation isn't really that much better than pascal or turing it just uses more power via more power connectors and runs hotter.

Which queue? Watch EVGA's Twitter feed [ link], they announced the time the queue would open for Elite members for the Z590 FTW and the 3090 KingPin Hydrocopper [ example] the day before it happened, so I'm guessing they'll do the same with the 3080Ti, whenever that comes out.

I would imagine the queue will still be super long even with the elite membership requirement. So many people have been trying to get a GPU since last year.

Ah dude.... 5000 channel points is easy! I started about 3 weeks ago and I've only really opened the stream a handful of times. Muted the tab and left it as is. I've got about 3900 channel points. Had I consistently tuned in on every stream, i'd likely have Elite status already. But my post count is getting there, just a few more to go :)

I wonder if all EVGA cards will be sold to elite members or if they'll ship most of them to stores and only sell a small percentage to members online. Not sure what contracts and orders they have with all retailers.

The first 24h of the queue is restricted to elite members. Otherwise, its the same. We do get some other perks though.
