You guys are doing it for the 3090. How about for 3080’s as well? I can’t get a 3080 because of bots taking them. So many other customers in the same position. Hook us up EVGA?!?!

Yeah, even if it's a lottery system that gives people like a day to buy out before lottery goes to someone else, that would be fantastic. Make it opt in, and wouldn't even need to be full stock just some. I think people would appreciate it.

A straight up lottery system would be very fair I think. Very few people would end up getting them, but at least we wouldn't be f5'ing all day, and be mad about crashing websites. Just open up a window to enter the lottery, say an hour, let the entries come in where you select check boxes for which cards you'd be willing to "win," then after it closes, select the winners (max one card per registered user, using various means to deter bots) and send emails out giving them 24 hours to purchase the card they won before it gets thrown into the next lottery batch. It would be sad to not win, but people are used to not winning lotteries. I don't think the frustration would be there like it is when it's bots and crashing websites that are preventing you from getting a card.

Well maybe the 3090s are a test run and this was their game all along. Jacob did say they were trying different things in the future.

They need to do SOMETHING. I wouldn't even mind if they used an exclusive program like ELITE and required people to show a short video recording of a picture ID that matches their account information. This way, botters would be totally thwarted.

Guess this kills any chance of me getting a card from EVGA. Despite having just bought a power supply of theirs.

I guess I have to spam the forums now before getting a chance?

bro you should count your blessings that you only need to post 100 times in order to have such a privilege. i wouldn't be surprised if they increase the post count to 500+ to deal with the influx of forum spam

you need two purchases within the last 12 months if they're not on the approved GPU list, and my 1080 isn't an EVGA so no luck there

it's like walking a tightrope, just the right speed, balance and content to get there fast without spamming, though I'm thinking there won't be any stock til at least Monday, so you have a few days to get there without missing anything (and even then if you can get through the website to order would still be a bit of a question)

I can't keep up this F5'ing anymore. I hope they figure something else out. An abundance of stock would be the first step. Quit releasing 7 cards at a time.

pretty messed up that you need to register the product to get warranty, but they get to save money by requiring a timely registration, so they do it. EVGA seems worse and worse every day.

What they should do is lower the post count if you have at least one product registration. Like a power supply and 50 post and your in. Options like that would help a lot of us.

It didn't really help the Elite members get the card though cause the site was still jacked. Some managed yes but alot of people were still plagued with the road cones of death.

Still seems like it won't help much if they can't get the website to handle the traffic better.
