What if they include a snap on attachment for the shroud, and you could actually customize your color, kind of like the rings for corsair fans?
I've said this before. That would be a great idea.

I'd much rather have the option of different colored shrouds and backplates. What if you choose a white card today to match a present build and then decide on a different theme, necessitating a different color sometime in the future? A simple change of a shroud and backplate and Bob's your uncle!

That's why I'm going with white for my new build, and then use a full array of rgb fans to colour the whole lot as required any day of the week, as the white should work well with any colour i choose to bathe it in, the downside will be the £300 in fans this will take lol

I have something similar in mind. I really want the Snowblind case, which is recommended to go along with white components so you can see the stuff on the screen more clearly.

Personally I would go for another brand (if 99% of the other custom designs wouldn't look like ) that is able to deliver the GPU like Asus or MSI....but after waiting already 3 weeks for more information about the Elit cards, i bet they show new information as soon i order a card from another brand....

Hey Jacob - do you know if there will be info on what if any options will be available for those who have SC2 & FTW's shipping this week? I know I'm not alone in that I would have happily waited a little longer for a card/shroud that matched my build if more info was available earlier. While I do recognize that I had the option to just cross my fingers and wait, these seem close enough in signup / release that it'll be a real shame to miss out.

That's the exact feeling i have, to be honest I'm blown away by just how Iittle info there is about the ftw3 shipping and payment dates along with the elite program.

I think it's more likely a lack of coordination sadly, I'm just hoping we get some news before they ask for payment ... Although being told when they are going to need nearly £1500 off me wouldn't go amiss either.

this i want my ti ftw 3 already and don't feel like holding on much longer,def want the black/white model but i doubt they would as it would destroy the purpose of elite member status

Some of us already preordered the FTW 3 card in the original silver color and we might want to get the elite color choice.

The above is my preference as well. I'm not going to be able to purchase 2 GPU's at this time, nor do I want 2 GPU's in different colors. I'm sure EVGA is sensitive to this though, so I'm not worried.

Your either May 1st or May 8th for the estimated ship dates and it may ship sooner. Depending which wave you got lucky in.

Think of it this way, there has been times where EVGA has sold the coolers or shrouds separate IIRC so even those that miss the opportunity to grab a colored GPU, it's possible you might be able to grab one and than install one yourself. Atm, they sell the AIO coolers for CPU, GPU + shroud and WBs.

thanks. however this also confirms my theory that the elite edition will mean that it will be released later than May 1st. I hoped that there will be a way to edit the preorder to the color of choice. nevertheless thanks for the update JacobF.

The wait part I don't mind, I just don't want to camp out on the website waiting for preorders to go live and get lucky on a crashing site =/
One would hope the unmatched customer service will be able to help those whom already locked in their preorders.
I already asked Jacob if they could just sell the colored shrouds to ELITE members, that way I can just swap mine out. No biggy no problem. But this won't be the case at this time.
