Nobody knows. We're all waiting for an official announcement. All we can do so far is sign up to get more Elite member info when it emerges.

Well I have been a member here since 2008 when I registered my first graphics card. I got to looking and thinking since I have a 980 Classified that I qualify as elite for these new cards. Mine is a 04G-P4-2988-KR and it figures that my card isn't in the list. The 2987 and 2989 are so why not mine? I haven't posted much during my time and that is my fault. That just busted my poor little bubble. LOL
Thanks for catching that. We've now added 04G-P4-2988-KR to the list of eligible cards.

I can't understand one things.
I have preorder an FTW3 but i would like to get the elite member ones.
They will ship the FTW3 before the elite member as they do with the SC2 or they will wait?
If i cancel my FTW3 preorder i will get an Elite ones for sure or there will be limited quantities and only the fastest will get ones?

I think that is what alot of us want to know, right now, my previous order cards are a considerable amount cheaper than the card at retail (£710 Vs £830) and while i really want a white card ... I don't think i want them to the tune of over £200, which is really annoying, as if i hadn't per ordered i wouldn't of thought twice about it and would of gladly paid a small premium, ivuess i can hope they choose to sell the backplates separate.

If you look on the GTX 1080 Ti page ( http://www.evga.com/products/productlist.aspx?type=0&family=GeForce+10+Series+Family&chipset=GTX+1080+Ti) you will see that EVGA is going to offer an ELITE MEMBER EXCLUSIVE deal for both the SC2 and the FTW3 as there is blue colored “ELITE MEMBER EXCLUSIVE” buttons for both cards. Now, since SC2 GPU’s are already shipping and EVGA has yet to implement or even make public the details of this exclusive/program/deal/whatever, there can be only 3 scenarios: - The people that qualify and have been selected for the ELITE MEMBER EXCLUSIVE are offered the opportunity to purchase an additional GPU in the ELITE MEMBER EXCLUSIVE color of their choice (limit 2 per household).
- The people that qualify and have been selected for the ELITE MEMBER EXCLUSIVE and who have already received one or more GPU’s can send them back in to EVGA to have them retrofitted to the ELITE MEMBER color of their choice.
- The people that qualify and have been selected for the ELITE MEMBER EXCLUSIVE may choose a color and the parts of the GPU that are changed to this color (shroud and hopefully backplate) are sent to the member to assemble on their own.
Again, noting that shipment of the product (or more accurately, a portion of the 2 products the program encompasses) has already begun, I don’t see any other way to handle this. What do you think?

I think you will avoid the warranty with this method. but the other two seem logically the only possible ways. i just don't want to ship back my FTW3 when it arrive only to change the color, i prefer to "block" my order until they release the ELITE, and than choose if "upgrade" it or not. ( sorry for bad eng )

It doesn't make sense to me that they started preorder knowingly they will be releasing more GPUs with color. My guess is since it will be such a limited run, they wanted to start preorders to kill some of the demand they've got going on.

I agree that this is very possible since EVGA has the best warranty out there for Nvidia graphics cards, they don't mind you taking the cooler off but they may check if you damaged it if you did.

That'd be a nice option. I'm wishing they announce in the next week that anyone Elite who stated what their preferred color shroud was will end up getting it shipped for their FTW3 pre-orders. Worst case, I'd be perfectly content with the default color. I just wouldn't want a situation where, like a step up, we pay the difference for the shroud color (if any) on top of shipping back and forth for our old cards, if that was an option. A new color isn't worth $45+ extra for me and waiting on shipping again at this rate. Still, am excited to see what happens when Elite goes live.
