I have a ASrock Taichi MB with a 1700X processer and 2 sticks of EVGA 8GX-D$-3000MR DDR4 Memory.  Up until BIOS release 5.10 the memory using the XMP profile ran at 2933 MHz.  The latest BIOS shows the XMP Profile at 3000MHz.  I was elated that finally the BiOS was handling the memory correctly.  That was short lived, Windows blue screened immediately.  I set the XMP back to 2933 MHz and the system is stable again.  I know the Ryzen processor is very picky about memory - I have a set of G.Skill FlareX 3200 and it has no issues well beyond 3200 MHz - so my question is: is there anything I can do with the EVGA memory like giving the SK Hynix chips more voltage >1.35 to make it stable at 3000MHz?  Just curious, I know there is little difference between 2933MHz and 3000MHz but... I've never had a system that blue screened as soon as I enable the XMP settings!

I would set the RAM frequency, timing and voltage to specs manually in the BIOS and not use an X.M.P. profile and roll from there..Use a 2T or 3T Command Rate.

Yep, increasing the voltage could help. If the sticks are rated at 1.35v you can safely run 1.5v.

I cleared the CMOS, set the system to the BIOS defaults and then set the Memory to XMP Profile 1.  The system ran with the memory set to the "automatic" 3000MHz 16-16-16 in the XMP Profile.  That's the good news, but...as soon a I OC'd the cpu every so slightly the system blue screened.  I set the cpu back to the defaults and the system still blue screened.  I set the memory back to 2933MHz and the system was stable.  Prior to all this I played with the memory settings and voltage and that had no effect.  So...I solved the problem by buying another set of G.Skill Flare X 3200-14 memory.  I know that memory works at all kinds of memory and cpu OC settings.  Ryzen even with the latest BIOS 5.10 is still very particular about memory chips.

I left a request for help with the EVGA tech support group and got a polite quick answer - basically good luck your on your own - we don't support Ryzen or OC'd memory.  I thought the XMP Profile 1 settings were burned into the DRAM chips?

    Hmm, are you me?

I have the 1600 a ASrock AB350 ITX board and the EVGA 3000mhz ram. I need to double check, but I think I also had issues running at 3000mhz and dropped back to 2933 with the latest BIOS update. But no issues, running 3.8 all core.
