One issue I am finding is that some Projects our EVGA DC Captains Account Password is not working and I do not have the email for gmail to reset any.

ahh was wondering why I was noticing all the founder names being changed.  The few projects I current contribute to seem to be in good order, except Einstein but that might be the email issue you're referring to.

Well, I went to change the security question, and found out google no longer allows security questions, so it's gone.  Unfortunately that leaves us in a scenario where only one person can recover the account easily.  I think the best thing is to add a number of the co-captains as additional users so more than one person can get in.  If some of the co-captains can PM me their email addresses I'll add them.

So who is managing the Emails?

How do we add that to our own gmail?

Well, I went to change the security question, and found out google no longer allows security questions, so it's gone.  Unfortunately that leaves us in a scenario where only one person can recover the account easily.  I think the best thing is to add a number of the co-captains as additional users so more than one person can get in.  If some of the co-captains can PM me their email addresses I'll add them.

Things seem to be getting a little crazy here, so I think we better slow down and look at the history.
 
Afterburner was the original captain.  He decided to pass on those responsibilities later, and we ended up with several co-captains.  I don't remember who they all were, but I was one, and I created the evga.dc.captains email so we could have a single founder for all the projects, with a shared account so if someone disappeared we still could maintain control.  Many of the projects got foundership transferred to that account at that time. 
 
Fast forward a few years and we are again in a situation with a number of projects where we have individuals listed as founders.  bcav is in the process of getting those transferred.  Unfortunately gmail is more security sensitive now, and rejected his login attempts from Colorado because it decided they were suspicious. Google says "Each Gmail account is intended and designed for use by an individual user. If you have multiple users frequently accessing the same account from various locations, you may reach a Gmail threshold and your account will be temporarily locked down".
 
In theory, we should be able to live with the same password "forever".  However, if all the co-captains try to log in, the account is going to get locked by Google.  I think the best solution is to create additional forwarding rules in the gmail account to forward all evga.dc.captains emails to the co-captains.  It's not a lot of email - there are 31 messages in the last 3 years.
 
Then, co-captains should not need to log in to gmail directly, so the account won't get locked.  I've already authorized bcav's location as legit, so between the two of us we should be able to manage any account settings that need changing.
 
I've gotten yodap and bill1024's emails, so I'll add them as forwarding destinations and hope it works.
 
Now to the most confusing part - on the team captain email we just got foundership transfer requests from bcav for 4 different teams that already have evga.dc.captains as the founders.
Edit: I think I see why - those accounts were created by someone using a non-standard evga.dc.captains password.  Though the founder need not change, there are times when we do need to log in.  I'll go ahead and fix those.

Hmm... seems after I stepped down someone changed the founders, I spent a LOT of time changing all the projects to reflect the EVGA Captains account.  Either that or someone has the password from a Google hack and changed them. Weird though.

Not really, their are some New BOINC Projects that have stated up in the last year or so.
I have done at lest 3 myself but have passed over the Founder to the account "EVGA DC Captains"
With this I am also adding myself as an Admin to each of the Projects as a backup, but an Admin cannot change a Founder.

Okay, things are clearing up now
I know Viper did a lot of work on fixing projects, and that is all still okay.  Most of the issues are with newer projects either with the "wrong" founder, or with a non-standard evga.dc.captains password.  I fixed the 4 passwords for projects that bcav had submitted change requests for (and thus declined the requests, since I think they are now the way we want them).
I have email addresses for bill1024, yodap, and bcavnaugh, with forwarding requests sent.  Once you approve those, I can add forwarding rules so you all get copies of the captains emails.  Jeroen is already on the forwarding list, along with a 49er's fan (I can't remember who that is on the forum).
Finally, I think I'll add bcav's email as the recovery email address for the account, since he is very active here.  Then I'll add my phone number as the recovery phone number, so we at least have 2 backups in case of emergency.

Wow that's a lot of investigating work guys.  I appreciate all the effort to manage these accounts.

I like the second one that (I think) Afterburner created.  The first is semi-obsolete since the "distributed computed team" in its current form was created 5 years ago, and the quote was from before that time.

Drop growing... it sounds to new.
 
Replace it with? A fellowship from all walks.... etc. ?
