Hi Everyone,

I'm looking at the CLC 280MM to go into my phanteks luxe case. Just wondering if anyone in the community has th is cooler and case together and if so can they shed light on the installation process or any quirks i need to know ?

The reason i ask is i currently have a H115i and sure enough my case supports 280mm rads being a decent full tower but due to the size it blocks some cable routing at the top for the 8pin cpu so i had to get creative.

And also in case someone asks i'm going to EVGA cooler simply for a change as I've always had corsair coolers and think it would match my evga 1080 hybrid

Thanks.

Do you have a cooler in the front already? That is the best place for a radiator rather than the top. The reason being hot air rises and if you put that radiator up top it's going to suck up hot case air right to your radiator. Linus Tech Tips did a test with this.

i have it mounted at the top which is what i've always had it
the front is fine to mount not tried but the case doesnt have a big opening at the front
i manage to in crease front airflow by removing the HDD cages

Not to say that the front wouldn't be better but really I haven't noticed that big of a difference on my case. Of course I have the EVGA case but decided to go the way they showed on the install video which is the top. Just checking my CPU is running just 16f hotter then the room. Maybe it would go down slightly if it was in the front but in my case I don't think it would be worth the effort.

Same here, especially now that I am on one GPU. No where near the heat on the 1080 ti FTW as the dual 980ti's.

If you have an 115i that fits the CLC 280 should fit the same. Just remember to use the rad as intake (yeah you need to invert the fans, they have installed inverted due to marketing reasons) as it's best for CPU temps as mentioned on the manual.
