Just built a rig with a smaller case (Phanteks P300) so only really had room for the CLC 120 to cool my 8700K. Just wondering if there are any pros/cons of using Flow Control to automatically adjust fan speed by coolant temp vs the CPU temp? Both my CPU and vid card are at stock speeds (EVGA 1080 Ti FTW) but if I leave it set to auto control the fan based on CPU temps I find the fan spin up and down in quite a 'knee jerk-ish' reaction.

Hey Brig8 and welcome to the forums o/

I personally prefer Flow Control to adjust the fan speed based on the CPU temp, that usually results in better temperatures for me. If your CPU temp occasionally spikes, then yes the fan will spin up and down in a 'knee jerk' fashion. I would set Flow Control to adjust the fan speed based on your coolant temperature if it bothers you.

    Thanks Jose.
I'm now seeing the issue on restart with Flow Control 2.0.5 and LEDSync where, if LEDSync starts first, Flow Control throws a CPUWB.exe error. On top of the, if I kill LEDSync and launch flow control, the CPU temp no longer shows in the app. Any ideas?

This software is still buggy, I don’t even see my fan speed since I’ve gotten my clc 280 installed and running.

Yeah that's a current bug with the software which is currently being worked on. If you are running Precision XOC,  you will need to shut down that as well, then start Flow Control. That should at least help you get Flow Control Started.

If that still doesn't help, give me your system specifications so that we may further look into this for you.
