EVGA 850 BQ. How many 2X8 pcie gpu's can it take ?

As an example, the RTX 3070 needs 2 X 8 pin pcie connectors to work. So what's the max number of gpu connections that the power supply can take ?

    If you take out the power needs, just the physical connectors used, how many cards can you PHYSICALLY connect ?

    There are 3 pci-e connecters on the power supply.  You need 2 for each 3070.  
    If you put an adapter on one of the connectors, you could technically power a 2nd GPU but EVGA specifically says don't use those. 
    So One.  Or "Two if you like hacky adapter work-arounds and hopes and prayers."
