First picture is of the old connector for dvd drive (the one we need).  The second is of the peripheral "Molex" 4 pin connector that is on the EVGA 600W.  Is there an adapter? Or, would I have to splice the old one to the new power supply (EVGA 600W)?

    Welcome to the Forum Destingirl
The First picture is Not Standard so you will need to get a new Drive or use the link below for the Adaptor.
You need a Standard SATA Cable for your DVD Drive, if it is a standard DVD SATA Drive.
What is the Make and Model of your Computer? and or DVD Drive?
The Floppy Power Cable is used only on 3.25 Floppy Drives.
Your DVD Should and Two Cables One for Power and One to connect to a SATA Port on the MB.
You must have a really old computer or the DVD Drive is old, might be best to buy a new standard DVD Drive.
    Standard SATA Data Cable.

    Power
     Link  Micro SATA Cables
The Big End is the Standard for most DVD and SATA Hard Drives and SSD (Power), your Micro Power Cable is Proprietary to the DVD Drive I would guess.

all slim dvd drives and 1.8" ssd use the small micro sata connectors, sometimes only the power is the issue as the sata data connection is pretty small all ready. the one that is included with the PSU is for a floppy drive or other devices that still use it, i havent seen anything need it in forever so not sure why evga still includes it.
