I recently upgraded my system from a 1080 ti sc2 and 750w psu to a 3080 ti ftw3 and supernova 1000 p6. Ever since I upgraded, I've been having issues where my pc restarts while I'm gaming every 30-45 minutes at random. My temps for the cpu and gpu are fine and i've used stock settings, overclocked settings, and undervolted settings, and all three settings still result in my pc restarting. Is it possible that somehow my psu is unable to deal with the 30 series power spikes because I honestly don't know what's wrong at this point. I've used ddu to uninstall drivers and reinstall them, I'm on my latest motherboard bios, and I upgraded my cpu cooler so that I wouldn't have to upgrade it again.

Yeah, most likely it's the psu. Could be an overheating issue as well with either the psu or motherboard. Try a SSR-1300PD those things are tanks.

yeah i was hoping it wasn't. idk why this psu isn't working even though i bought both brand new and it's literally 1000 watts. would rmaing the psu fix it or is it just a known issue with my psu? because i haven't found any posts about my psu having issues with 30 series gpus.

From all the bad comments I've read about that p6. I'd return it if possible and grab something else.

I'd RMA the power supply. What's weird is I thought those were the same OEM as the G6 and I haven't heard of anybody having problems with the G6. That said, they're Seasonic and I have heard of a couple 1000W platinums from Seasonic having the issue.

Meanwhile I have an 850 G3 - have drawn close to 1kw from the wall outlet with an OC 12700k + 3080ti power test and it ran perfectly.  These Super Flower based PSUs can sustain load spikes a ton better - too bad EVGA moved away from them after the G2/G3.

I would RMA first, you have a warranty, might as well use it, I used a G6 1k with overclocking 12900k and a Kingpin without issue, 1k should easily be enough .
