I received my 3080 XC3 ultra a few days ago and most games I am playing are hitching and stuttering constantly. Could this be do to the hardware issue that has been exposed? My boost clock seems to consistently spike to around 1955mhz. I am also using gsync on a freesync monitor with vsync on and frames capped at 141fps on my 144hz display. Not sure if that could also be causing issues? Please help. I sold a evga 2070 super that was buttery smooth only to get lots of frames that look and feel bad.

There are no hardware issues with EVGA cards. Not in terms of this whole POSCAP issue that seems to have blown up, anyway. EVGA delayed the launch of their cards to fix the problem - a very good move on their end considering how popular this whole thing has become over night.

Some people are still confused due to reviewers having old pre-release EVGA cards in their review videos that still have the problematic setup and think those old pre-release models are what has been sent out to customers around the world when in actuality they haven't.

It is more than likely something on your end -- my 3090 FTW3 Ultra has been incredible so far. No stutters whatsoever. I am using the newest DCH studio drivers though. Perhaps the drivers are your issue? I know the 'game ready' drivers have been, supposedly, causing issues for some people.

just another reason to hold on to a card until you receive and test the new card

I'll try ddu to uninstall the drivers and use the studio version and see what happens.

Well I sold it to a friend who said if I had any issues he wouldn't have any problem giving it back. So I gave it to him the day my card was being delivered. I just hope it's something I can get ironed out. I should also state it's paired with a 10700k and 32gb 3600mhz ram, so there should be 0 bottleneck.

Alrighty! Hopefully everything goes well.

I skipped the 'game ready' drivers all together just based on what people were talking about over in the 456.38 Nvidia driver thread. I'm sure Nvidia has some more driver improvements in the works as we speak.

So you are using the previous version with no issues?

it is most likely due to the problems listed recently along with the gsync and capped frame rates
